摘要: Trays for food are disclosed. A tray includes a plurality of receptacles, or compartments, for different courses of a meal (e.g., the entrée, a vegetable, a fruit, a starch, a dessert, a drink, etc.). Compartments for relatively unhealthful items may be configured to make the portion sizes of those items appear to be larger than they are, while compartments for healthful items may be configured to make the portion sizes of those items appear to be smaller than they are. The tray may also be configured to ensure that healthful items are positioned closest to an individual who is eating from the tray. Methods for presenting food to an individual are also disclosed.

摘要: A method for designing and assembling a modular IT rack includes a manufacturer designing and constructing lightweight, modular corrugated cardboard modules/segments and corresponding banding and corner components that can be used to assemble the modular IT rack. A user/assembler of the modular IT rack assembles modular tray grouping and enclosure (MTGE) casing units using a first set of cardboard modules. The user constructs trays using a second set of cardboard modules. The user affixes cable support components to the sides of sub-groups of the constructed trays. The user encloses sub-groups of trays having the affixed cable support components within the assembled MTGE casing units to create MTGE blocks. The user vertically stacks the MTGE blocks having the tray sub-groups and the affixed cable support components enclosed within. The user aligns and secures the vertically stacked MTGE blocks in a fixed position using banding and corner components.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method and device for processing food. The device comprises at least two food slicing devices adapted to each produce partial portions, and a combination device disposed downstream of each food slicing device to combine the partial portions to a multi-type portion. A sensor assembly may be provided to determine at least one property of the partial portions, wherein a control device is provided to control the operation of the food slicing devices based on the properties of the respective partial portions to adjust the weight of the partial portions. A control device is alternatively provided to synchronize the timing of the slicing operation of the food slicing devices. A buffering device is alternatively provided between at least one food slicing device and the combination device to retain and release partial portions based on a control signal from a control device.

摘要: A food handling system having a positioning system and method. The positioning system includes a main conveying surface, an electronic sensor, a controller and a robot. The main conveying surface is configured to move food products. The electronic sensor is configured to capture position data about one or more food products on the main conveying surface within a sensor range of the sensor. The controller is signal-connected to the electronic sensor and the robot. The controller is configured to receive data captured by the sensor and is configured to instruct the robot to move a food product to a destination position. The robot is configured to reposition one or more food products on the conveying surface according to instructions sent by the controller. The robot has a longitudinal and a lateral working range. The food product may include formed meat patties or sliced meat or cheese products.

摘要: A forming station comprises first and second forming die members. A closing station comprises first and second closing die members. A lift operatively couples at least three of the members together such that operation of the lift moves the three members together. The closing station is located downstream of the loading station and is for closing a pocket in a first web of packaging material with a second web of packaging material. The second web of packaging material is oriented in the closing station so as to engage with the first web of packaging material and fold a foldable flap downwardly with respect to a conveyor as the conveyor moves from upstream to downstream.

摘要: A handling system for use in the manufacture of syringe barrels includes a tray having an array of apertures with a tubular upstand around each aperture, each upstand at the upper end thereof defining a support surface for a syringe barrel. Each syringe barrel comprises a cylindrical part and an enlargement at or adjacent the rear end of the barrel and carries at its forward end a safe needle device or a needle shield of a greater diameter than the syringe barrel. At least one of the enlargement of the syringe barrel or the support surface has a profile tapering or rounded inwardly in the downward direction so that when the tray is supported generally horizontally and a syringe barrel is lowered into an upstand, the syringe barrel is centred by co-operation between the enlargement and the support surface. The enlargement may be a flange at the rear end of the syringe barrel or could be a further component fitted to the barrel.
