An apparatus for applying an engagement collar to a group of articles, which includes an application area defining a horizontal support surface for receiving a group of articles, a horizontal press plate positioned above the support surface and mounted for vertical movement relative to the support surface, and an actuation assembly operatively connected to the press plate for moving the press plate relative to the support surface to apply an engagement collar to the group of articles positioned on the support surface within the application area, wherein the actuation assembly includes an actuation lever that is located below the press plate and in front of the application area to provide an ergonomic work environment.

A core pin bag dispenser includes a planar base sized and shaped to fit beneath a roll of film bags. First and second upwardly extending rods are mounted to the base. A retaining pin is sized and shaped to fit slidably within a hollow core of the bag roll. The pin has first and second orthogonal apertures located adjacent the first and second ends that are spaced apart by at least a width of the roll of film bags and are sized and shaped to fit slidably over the first and second upwardly extending rods. An upward pointing snagging hook is mounted adjacent a front edge of the base and is sized and shaped to engage either a chisel cut or a perforation in the bags. Two of the dispensers are mounted to an adapter designed to fit into the side channels of a bin mounted to a vertical surface.

The present invention is directed to a gripping device for more hygienic handling of a lid for a container. In general, the gripping device fits over the lid and releasably grips the outer surface of the lid. At least a portion of at least one interior circumference of the gripping device has a gripper for imparting suitable friction to releasably grip the lid. When the gripping device is placed over the lid, the gripper grips the lid and does not release the lid until after the lid is placed on the container. The gripping device facilitates sealing of the lid around the entire circumference of the container, thereby preventing accidental spills caused by unclosed or partially closed lids. By using the gripping device, the lid may be handled without the operator's hand touching any part of the lid itself.

A multi-row wrapping machine for wrapping products (P) comprising a plurality of wrapping lines or rows (F), adjacent and coplanar to each other, each wrapping row being defined between a common input station (2) and a respective output station (3) for wrapped products, the rows developing parallel to each other along a direction of advance from the input station towards the output station, conveying means (N) being provided to convey the products (P), one in line with the other, along each respective wrapping line, the products being fed to the input station (2) in ranks at a set rate, each product of each rank engaging with each respective wrapping line at the same time. The machine has dragging means provided on each respective wrapping row to drag a respective wrapping film (T) in an unwinding direction, wrapping means to wrap the individual product (P) in wrapping film (T) and also to cut and weld the reciprocally superimposed edges of the wrapper, feeding the wrapped product to the output station (3). In each wrapping row (F1, F2, . . . Fn) of the plurality of rows there are separate and distinct means (N1, N2, . . . Nn) to convey the products (P) from the input station (2) to the output station (3), separate and distinct means to feed the respective wrapping film (T) and separate and distinct means to wrap the product (P), so that the entire product moving and wrapping stage, from the input station (2) to the output station (3) is operated and controlled along each row (F1, F2, . . . Fn) independently of the other respective rows.

The device comprises a hollow external body, operationally arranged in a filler of the tank and anchored in which, with the interpositioning of a permanent magnet, is an internal body which defines an essentially tubular passage. The arrangement is such that when the nozzle of a urea solution distributor pistol is inserted into the passage of the internal body, the magnet causes an opening of an on/off valve in the pistol, permitting the input of a flow of the said solution into the tank. The device also comprises a filter through which the urea solution is intended to pass.At its end turned operatively towards the outside of the tank the internal body is provided with suitable means of connection for snapping onto corresponding retention formations provided in the external body, and the filter is integrated with the end of the external body intended to be turned towards the inside of the tank.

A system and method for making a food item are for provided. The apparatus includes a food item assembly and packaging station having a first work area assembling and packaging a food item and meal order assembly station having a second work area for assembling a meal order that includes a food item packaged on the first work surface. A conveyor is positioned beneath the first work area and extends from a position proximate to the first area to a position proximate to the second work area. A conveyor access opening is proximate to the first work area to provide worker access to the conveyor to permit manual placement of a food item assembled and packaged at the first work area onto the conveyor for conveying the packaged food item beneath the first work area to the location proximate the meal order assembly station.
