Abstract: Vehicle usage-based data, including telematics data, may be utilized to generate and/or adjust one or more terms (e.g., a variable interest rate and/or variable principle amount) of a variable vehicle loan. Telematics data may include, for example, data generated via a vehicle data system and/or a mobile electronic device. The one or more terms may be additionally or alternatively be adjusted based upon transportation metrics associated with usage of the vehicle by a transportation network company (TNC) and/or TNC driver.

Abstract: The systems and methods may transmit a plurality of locationing pulse requests from a mobile device in a vehicle to an audio system of the vehicle during a period of operation of the vehicle. The audio system may have an array of speakers disposed inside the vehicle, and the locationing pulse requests may include a request to emit a locationing pulse from the array of speakers. The systems and methods may further receive the locationing pulse at a microphone of the mobile device; and generate or update a vehicle usage profile based upon the receiving operation. The vehicle usage profile may include occupancy data of one or more seats inside the vehicle. The systems and methods may further transmit a recommendation to a person associated with the mobile device. The recommendation may be based upon the vehicle usage profile, and may relate to vehicle operation or insurance.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for performing vehicular collision reconstruction and battery conservation for an electric or battery-powered vehicle. In various aspects, an indication of a trigger event may be detected from computer analysis of telematics data gathered by one or more sensors associated with a vehicle. The trigger event may be associated with a vehicle collision. A camera mounted on the vehicle may be activated, based upon the indication of the trigger event, to acquire an image of a second vehicle associated with the vehicle collision. Image data associated with the image may then be transmitted to a remote server computer for analysis of the image data, in which the remove server is capable of generating from the image data, a reconstruction of the vehicle collision, and determining, from the reconstruction of the vehicle collision, a cause of loss associated with the vehicle collision.

Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring the use of a shared vehicle are described. In various aspects, telematics data regarding operation of a shared vehicle is collected from one or more sensors, where the shared vehicle is associated with a shared vehicle operator and a shared vehicle stakeholder. One or more processors determine whether a driving event has occurred based upon the telematics data, where the driving event is indicative of improper usage of the shared vehicle by the shared vehicle operator. The one or more processors generate a notification regarding the driving event. The notification includes a driver rating determined from the telematics data regarding operation of the shared vehicle by the shared vehicle operator. The notification is transmitted, via a network, to the shared vehicle stakeholder for presentation to the shared vehicle stakeholder.

Abstract: A method and system may automatically detect failures and send diagnostic information when scheduling home equipment repairs in a smart home environment. A smart home controller may receive sensor data from each of several pieces of home equipment to detect whether any failures have occurred. If the smart home controller detects a failure in one of the pieces of home equipment based on the sensor data, the smart home controller may communicate diagnostic information for the piece of home equipment experiencing the failure to a repair service provider to schedule a repair.

Abstract: A method and system resolves failures in a submersible pump. The method and system may receive data from one or more sensors associated with the submersible pump. The method and system may analyze the received data to detect a failure in the submersible pump. The failure may be due to a build-up of debris or particulates that has caused the submersible pump to stall or jam. To resolve the detected failure, the method and system may activate a mechanical shaker coupled to the submersible pump that produces vibrations to physically shake the submersible pump.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for generating a vehicle-to-vehicle traffic alert. Various aspects may include detecting that an abnormal traffic condition exists in an operating environment of a vehicle and generating a related electronic message. The electronic message may be transmitted via the vehicle's transceiver using a wireless communication to a nearby vehicle to alert the nearby vehicle of the abnormal traffic condition and to allow the nearby vehicle to avoid the abnormal traffic condition.

Abstract: Methods and systems for obtaining vehicle recall notifications are described herein. A vehicle having one or more autonomous operation features may receive a notification indicating that the vehicle requires a safety recall. The notification may provide identification information for a vehicle part that needs to be replaced. Additionally, the vehicle may determine whether the vehicle part is currently within the vehicle by obtaining a set of identification information for current vehicle parts within the vehicle and comparing the identification information for the vehicle part to the set of identification information for current vehicle parts within the vehicle. In response to determining that the vehicle part is currently within the vehicle, the vehicle may identify a treatment facility for replacing the vehicle part, and cause the vehicle to travel to the identified treatment facility for replacing the vehicle part.

Abstract: A system for providing dynamic roadside assistance coordination may include a customer mobile device or vehicle in direct, or indirect, wireless communication with an insurance provider and/or service provider remote server. The customer's device may transmit a request for roadside assistance (e.g., towing services), and a current GPS location. In response, a closest, trusted service provider vehicle may be determined, and then directed to the customer's location. For instance, a software application may receive the customer location and compare it with availability information to match the customer with a close and trusted service provider. The customer's device may receive an acknowledgement that help is on the way, and be able to track the current location of the service provider vehicle while en route. Payment for the roadside assistance may be automatically and electronically paid by the insurance provider. As a result, prompt and safe roadside assistance may be provided.
