Abstract:
Various methods, apparatuses and/or articles of manufacture are provided which may be implemented as part of a mobile device to selectively transition operation of the mobile device from one communication mode to another communication mode. For example, a mobile device may selectively transition operation from one communication mode to another communication mode based, at least in part, on a determination that certain signaling environment attributes which were previously experienced and identified may once again have been experienced and identified.

Abstract:
Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) transmits, to a network entity, one or more capability messages indicating one or more capabilities of the UE to process positioning reference signals (PRS), the one or more capabilities indicating at least a duration of PRS that the UE can process within a measurement window without a measurement gap, and performs one or more positioning measurements of one or more PRS resources during the measurement window up to the duration of PRS.
Abstract:
A base station maps code blocks of a transport block of a transport block size (TBS) for a channel using tone-level interleaving or resource element (RE)-level interleaving. Then, the base station can transmit the code blocks of the transport block of the TBS for the channel. A UE may receive the channel from the base station and de-interleave the received tones of the channel in a frequency domain to obtain the code blocks of the transport block having the TBS for the channel.
Abstract:
A UE transmits to a source base station a capability of the UE associated with a bandwidth class or a band combination. The capability is associated with a handover in which the UE maintains connections with the source base station and a target base station. The UE receives a handover message comprising at least one of a target base station configuration to apply during handover execution or a source base station configuration to apply during handover execution based on the capability of the UE. The UE establishes a connection with the target base station and maintains a connection with the source base station over a period of time during the handover. The UE communicates with the source base station and the target base station during handover execution using at least one of the target base station configuration or the source base station configuration.
Abstract:
Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration for at least a first transmission-reception point (TRP), the PRS configuration including one or more repetitions of one or more PRS resources within a PRS resource set of a PRS instance associated with the TRP, beam sweeps one or more receive beams within the PRS instance based on a number of the one or more repetitions being greater than a number of repetitions of the one or more PRS resources needed to meet an accuracy requirement, and beam sweeps the one or more receive beams across a plurality of PRS instances associated with the TRP based on the number of the one or more repetitions not being greater than the number of repetitions of the one or more PRS resources needed to meet the accuracy requirement.
Abstract:
A base station may calculate a scheduling value based on at least one of a number of groups associated with a set of UEs operating on a cell provided by the base station a radio frame number, or a subframe number. The base station may send, based on the calculated scheduling value, at least one NRS in at least one PO on a narrowband control channel. A UE may receive, from the base station providing the cell, information associated with at least one PO for the UE. The UE may determine, based on the received information, scheduling information associated with at least one NRS in the at least one PO. The UE may detect the at least one NRS in the at least one PO on a narrowband control channel when the determined scheduling information indicates the at least one NRS is in the at least one PO.
Abstract:
A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a User Equipment (UE). The UE receives a second random access message from the base station after transmitting a first random access message. The second random access message comprises a random access response (RAR) that indicates a narrowband to be used for receiving a fourth random access message. The apparatus determines whether to perform a measurement of the narrowband for the fourth random access message based on an amount of time between receiving the second random access message and transmitting a third random access message. The base station may determine whether the report comprises a measurement of the first narrowband or the second narrowband based on an amount of time between the second random access message and the third random access message or based on an indication in the third random access message.
Abstract:
Handling of listen before talk (LBT) failures during radio resource control (RRC) procedures is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to monitor for consistent uplink and downlink LBT failures on a bandwidth part (BWP) configured for a target cell. When the UE determines that consistent LBT failures are occurring with respect to the BWP, the UE may determine an LBT failure state on the BWP. In response, the UE may execute a recovery procedure, which may include selecting a new BWP associated with the target cell and having configured uplink resources, performing a cell reselection procedure, or switching to idle in order to perform cell selection. The UE may then report the LBT failures according to cell identification and BWP.
Abstract:
Techniques are provided, which may be used for determining a position of a user equipment (mobile device). In certain example implementations, tones in positioning signals from one or more sources that may interfere with certain positioning signals be estimated and some form of interference mitigation may be applied, which may better enable the user equipment to acquire certain other positioning signals that may be useful in determining a position of the user equipment.
