Abstract:
Wire bond pad and solder ball or controlled collapse chip connections C4 are combined on a planar surface of a an integrated circuit device to provide a die. Known good die (KGD) testing is optionally performed using wire bond connections or stress tolerant solder ball connections. The KGD testing is conducted after the integrated circuit dies are diced from a wafer. Solder ball or C4 array connections which withstand thermal stress are used to KGD test the die prior to final use of the wire bond pad connections to an end use device. Alternatively, wire bond pads are used to test the die while maintaining the solder ball or C4 array in a pristine condition for bonding to a final end product device. Both testing with the solder ball C4 array contacts and with the wire bond connections provides metallurgical connections for the KGD test. The solder ball or C4 array is connected to the wire bond pads and either connection can be used to burn-in test the die.
Abstract:
Patient support systems are generally disclosed. An example patient support system may be configured to provide a predictive bed-exit alarm and/or a patient weight. An example embodiment may include a support structure including independently inflatable supports, an inflatable mat beneath the inflatable supports, and pressure detectors associated with the inflatable supports and the inflatable mat. An alarm logic may be configured to initiate a predictive bed-exit alarm sequence upon determining that at least one of the pressures of the inflatable supports is at about its respective unloaded pressure. A patient weight logic may be configured to output a patient weight based at least partially upon a difference between an unloaded pressure and a loaded pressure of the inflatable mat.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for implementing rule-based offer association, queuing input information for performing rule-based offer association, and implementing an intelligent offer tool for determining whether to present an offer to a user. The invention enables an entity to send targeted offers to a user that enables the user to receive at least one of a discount or a rebate on a purchase from a merchant.

Abstract:
A Femtocell Access Point (FAP) is used to provision a ticket number service. Customers approach the FAP and are given a ticket number indicating their place in the queue through an SMS message. Follow up SMS messages are sent updating the customer of their current position in line, as well as when it is their turn. Statistics may be generated from information gathered at the FAP and sent to an external client module.
Abstract:
Methods for growing carbon nanotubes on glass substrates, particularly glass fiber substrates, are described herein. The methods can include depositing a catalytic material or a catalyst precursor on a glass substrate; depositing a non-catalytic material on the glass substrate prior to, after, or concurrently with the catalytic material or catalyst precursor; and exposing the glass substrate to carbon nanotube growth conditions so as to grow carbon nanotubes thereon. The glass substrate, particularly a glass fiber substrate, can be transported while the carbon nanotubes are being grown thereon. Catalyst precursors can be converted into a catalyst when exposed to carbon nanotube growth conditions. The catalytic material or catalyst precursor and the non-catalytic material can be deposited from a solution containing water as a solvent. Illustrative deposition techniques include, for example, spray coating and dip coating.
Abstract:
A method for managing work distribution in a processor including a plurality of instruction data modules, is provided. The method includes analyzing work units received by the processor and comparing the utilization level in each active module within the plurality with a first predetermined threshold. The work units are distributed across selected ones of the modules within the plurality based upon the analyzing and the comparing.

Patient support systems are generally disclosed. An example patient support system may include a base; first and second longitudinally oriented sidewalls extending upward from lateral side portions of the base; a substantially vapor-impermeable barrier on the top surface of the base and on inwardly facing surfaces of the sidewalls; a substantially vapor-permeable top cover extending between the sidewalls such that a generally longitudinally oriented channel configured to receive airflow therethrough is substantially defined by a lower surface of the top cover, an upper surface of the barrier on the base, and inwardly facing surfaces of the barrier on the sidewalls; a supply conduit extending from an exterior air supply connector to an internal air supply opening within the channel; an air discharge opening within the channel; and an inflatable support disposed in the channel. The interior volume of the inflatable support may be fluidicly isolated from the channel.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to a process for making a thermally inhibited polysaccharide by dehydrating a polysaccharide to substantially anhydrous or anhydrous conditions and thermally inhibiting the substantially anhydrous or anhydrous polysaccharide at a temperature of 100° C. or greater for a time sufficient to inhibit the polysaccharide in an oxygen enriched concentration of at least 6.5 moles/m3.
Abstract:
In an exemplary method, a call origination request containing a toll-free telephone number of the called party is received from a wireless handset supported by a mobility service provider at a switching node of the telecommunication network. A determination is made if the called party has agreed to pay for at least a portion of the telecommunication service charge by the mobility service provider for providing wireless access to the wireless handset for the call. If the called party has agreed to pay for at least a portion of the telecommunication service charge by the mobility service provider, a call detail record associated with said call is generated that contains information indicating that the called party will be responsible for at least the portion of the telecommunication service charge by the mobility service provider. The call is then terminated to the called party.
