Abstract:
A flash memory device comprises alternately arranged odd and even memory cells. The odd and even memory cells are connected to corresponding odd and even bitlines, which are connected to corresponding odd and even page buffers. In a read operation of the flash memory device, data is sensed at two different times via the odd and even bitlines. In certain embodiments, data is read from the odd page buffers while data is being sensed via the even bit lines, or vice versa.
Abstract:
A memory system comprises a controller that generates a processor clock, and a plurality of memory devices each comprising an internal clock generator that generates an internal clock in synchronization with the processor clock, and a memory that performs a peak current generation operation in synchronization with the internal clock, wherein at least two of the memory devices generate their respective internal clocks at different times such that the corresponding peak current generation operations are performed at different times.

The field emission device includes: i) a substrate; ii) an electrode positioned on the substrate; iii) a mask layer positioned on the electrode and including one or more openings; and iv) a plurality of nanostructures positioned on the electrode via the openings and formed to extend radially. The plurality of nanostructures may be applied to emit an electron upon receiving a voltage from the electrode.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a composition for the prevention and treatment of metabolic diseases, which comprises a benzazole derivative as an active ingredient. The benzazole derivative has inhibitory activity against DGAT (diacylglycerol acyltransferase), which causes metabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes in the process of lipid metabolism. With the ability to effectively control lipid metabolism and energy metabolism, thus, the composition is useful in the prevention and treatment of metabolic diseases, such as obesity and diabetes.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for revising video data for en electron emission display device to improve image quality by reducing non-uniformity in luminance of a plurality of pixels. In an exemplary embodiment, a display region includes a plurality of pixels, each pixel comprising at least one electron emission device. A scan driver and a data driver control the pixels through electrodes coupled to the display region. A revision coefficient unit is coupled to the display driver, for storing a plurality of revision coefficients, receiving and revising video data utilizing the revision coefficients, and sending revised video data to the data driver. The revision coefficients correspond to first average luminance values of first lines of pixels extending in a first direction, and second average luminance values of second lines of pixels extending in a second direction.
Abstract:
A non-volatile memory device includes page buffers arranged in groups, each group being coupled to a corresponding data output line so that data from more than one of the page buffers in each group may be simultaneously represented on the corresponding data output line during a program verification operation. Page buffers may be arranged in repair units with data from more than one page buffer simultaneously coupled to a data output line during a column scan operation.
Abstract:
An anode plate structure for an electron emission display device may be constructed with a cathode plate being a lower plate and an anode plate being an upper plate. The anode plate is arranged opposite to the cathode plate, with an area that is smaller than the surface area of the cathode plate, and the anode plate is located inside the cathode plate when the display device is viewed in a plan view so that all four-side edges of the cathode plate are exposed. At least one data driving electrode and at least one scan driving electrode may be installed on the cathode plate. One, or more anode voltage applying terminal is applied to the anode plate.

Abstract:
In contrast enhancement during image processing, a histogram equalization process or apparatus divides an equalization image screen into overlapping windows and performs histogram equalization on each window. Using windows improves contrast of pixel values that are rare throughout the entire image and reduces or prevents loss of information represented by the rare pixel values. Overlapping the windows reduces discontinuities at the boundaries of the windows. The size and overlap of the windows can be adjusted according to the time available for equalization and can be optimized according to the desired image quality improvement. The histogram equalization can be selectively performed on an entire image screen or any part thereof to reduce image degradation in the entire or part of an image. As a further aspect of the invention, to reduce the number of operations required for equalization, a histogram for a current window is obtained starting from the histogram for a previous window. To further improve image quality, a histogram equalization apparatus uses low-pass- or band-pass-filtered pixel data as a lookup table address to output a histogram-equalized value. This helps remove amplified thermal or quantization noise.
