    Abstract: The invention relates to a multilayered composite film made of plastic and in the form of a surface coating for an article, wherein the composite film is at least partly transparent, i.e. is transparent in partial regions, has at least one outer transparent top layer which is optionally provided with a transparent coating, and has, on the rear side of the top layer, one or more further transparent plastic layers and also a transparent carrier layer, wherein arranged inside the layer composite is an opaque layer which is in the form of a sheet-like masking or diaphragm provided with openings and is transparent only in the openings of the masking or diaphragm, wherein the opaque layer adjoins the rear side of the top layer in the direction of the carrier layer, wherein the base material of the opaque layer is the same as that of the top layer.

    Abstract: Light-permeable multilayer composite film made of plastic as the surface coating of an article, wherein the composite film comprises at least one outer, at least partially light-permeable top layer optionally provided with a lacquer and at least one further layer arranged on the back of the top layer, wherein arranged on the back side of the top layer is an optical layer, preferably an optical layer made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) which has light-transmitting, light-refracting and light-reflecting properties or a combination thereof, wherein the transmission, refraction and reflection properties are such that illumination of the optical layer, in particular back side illumination of the optical layer, results in preferably uniform light transmission through the top layer.

    Abstract: Flexible sheet made of polymer material, preferably a plastics-material sheet provided with a grain structure or embossing, which has functional surface-area regions designed in the form of a switching, sensor or operating element such that the sheet is of multi-layered design at least in the region of the functional surface-area regions, wherein at least one layer made of conductive polymer material is arranged in the functional surface-area regions, wherein the layer made of conductive material is spaced apart, on the rear side, from the visible surface of the sheet and is connected to an electronic control and regulating device, which detects changes in electrical properties of the sheet in the functional surface-area regions and converts these into actuating, switching or control signals.

    Abstract: A method for producing a multi-layer plastic film comprising at least one compact cover layer and at least one layer which is arranged under the cover layer and made of extruded foamed plastic (foam layer), wherein the compact cover layer is connected to the foam layer thermally or by adhesion after extrusion and cooling of the foam layer to below the melting temperature. The layer made of foamed plastic is generated by blowing a propellent which is under positive pressure into a plastic melt during the extrusion process and by subsequently relaxing the propellent which is under positive pressure, wherein the foamed plastic is at first not cross-linked and is cross-linked together with the compact cover layer, in particular by high-energy radiation, only after the foam layer and the compact cover layer have been connected.

    Abstract: A method is provided for producing a molded part that is deep drawn from a thermoplastic foil. An outer surface of the thermoplastic foil is provided with a positive depth structure, under the effect of heat and pressure, by means of a stamping or embossing roller that has a negative depth structure. In at least one extent of a surface of the embossing roller, the negative depth structure of the roller is compressed in such surface regions thereof that effect a stretching of the foil during deep drawing. Subsequently, at least a portion of the foil is deep drawn.
