摘要: A vehicle position and velocity estimation system based on camera and LIDAR data is disclosed. An embodiment includes: receiving input object data from a subsystem of a vehicle, the input object data including image data from an image generating device and distance data from a distance measuring device, the distance measuring device comprising one or more LIDAR sensors; determining a first position of a proximate object near the vehicle from the image data; determining a second position of the proximate object from the distance data; correlating the first position and the second position by matching the first position of the proximate object detected in the image data with the second position of the same proximate object detected in the distance data; determining a three-dimensional (3D) position of the proximate object using the correlated first and second positions; and using the 3D position of the proximate object to navigate the vehicle.

摘要: A vehicle configured to operate in an autonomous mode can obtain sensor data from one or more sensors observing one or more aspects of an environment of the vehicle. At least one aspect of the environment of the vehicle that is not observed by the one or more sensors could be inferred based on the sensor data. The vehicle could be controlled in the autonomous mode based on the at least one inferred aspect of the environment of the vehicle.

摘要: An electro-optical system has a laser drive electronic circuit, a laser light source and an optical interferometer, forming a closed loop. The laser drive electronic circuit is arranged to receive a reference frequency as input, and a beat frequency as feedback. The laser drive electronic circuit generates a drive output based on a phase difference between the reference frequency and the beat frequency. The optical interferometer, coupled to the laser light, generates optical energy at the beat frequency.

摘要: One variation of a method includes: defining a first capacitance gradient of capacitance thresholds spanning a capacitive touch sensor; defining a first pressure gradient of pressure thresholds spanning a pressure sensor; reading a capacitance value from the capacitive touch sensor proximal a first location; detecting presence of a first input at the first location in response to the capacitance value exceeding a capacitance threshold assigned to the first location; reading a pressure value from the pressure sensor proximal the first location; detecting presence of a second input proximal the first location in response to the pressure value exceeding a pressure threshold; in response to detecting the first input and detecting the second input: merging the first input and the second input into a confirmed touch input; and generating a first touch image representing the first location and the pressure value of the confirmed touch input.
