Abstract: A method for execution by one or more modules of one or more processors of a storage network includes receiving a data object for storage, segmenting the data object into a plurality of data segments and determining a level of security and a level of performance for the plurality of data segments. The method continues by determining whether one or more data segments of the plurality of data segments is to be transformed using an all-or-nothing transformation and in response to a determination to transform one or more data segments of the plurality of data segments, transforming a data segment of the plurality of data segments to produce a transformed data segment. The method continues by dispersed error encoding the transformed data segment to produce a set of encoded data slices and transmitting the set of encoded data slices to a set of storage units of the storage network.

Abstract: A method by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes: receiving a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and a second PDSCH transmission that carry a same transport block (TB) and are associated with a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state and a second TCI state, respectively; determining a transport block size (TBS) of the first PDSCH transmission; and determining low-density parity-check (LDPC) base graph corresponding to the transport block based on the determined TBS for each of the first PDSCH transmission and the second PDSCH transmission, wherein the determined TBS of the first PDSCH transmission is applied to the second PDSCH transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus are provided for encoding code blocks for transmission in a wireless communication system. An example encoding method in a wireless communication system includes determining, for one or more code blocks of a transport block, that at least one of a plurality of criteria is met, wherein the plurality of criteria includes that a coding rate (R) is less than or equal to 1/4 or that a transport block size (TBS) is less than or equal to 3824 bits and the R is less than or equal to 2/3. The one or more code blocks are encoded using low-density parity-check (LDPC) base graph 2, wherein a maximum code block size is 3840 bits. The one or more encoded code blocks are transmitted over the wireless network.

Abstract: A method for transmitting system information on a PBCH is described herein. A transmission/reception point (TRP) may generate a concatenated master information block (MIB) transport block that includes information bits associated with system bandwidth information, timing information, system frame number (SFN), a beam sweeping configuration, and a control resource set (CORESET). The TRP may then attach at least 16 cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits to the concatenated MIB and then prioritize the concatenated MIB and the at least 16 CRC bits based on content. The TRP may then perform channel coding of the prioritized concatenated MIB and the at least 16 CRC bits to produce coded bits using at least one polar encoder with a coding rate that is less than 1/3, perform rate matching via repetition on the coded bits, and then transmit the rate matched, coded bits on the PBCH of a radio frame.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for monitoring application health via correctable errors. The method includes identifying, by a network device, a network packet associated with an application and detecting an error associated with the network packet. In response to detecting the error, the network device increments a counter associated with the application, determines an application score based at least in part on the counter, and telemeters the application score to a controller. The controller can generate a graphical interface based at least in part on the application score and a timestamp associated with the application score, wherein the graphical interface depicts a trend in correctable errors experienced by the application over a network.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a dirty paper coding (DPC) scheme for a wireless communication system. One example encoding device obtains symbol probabilities for symbols of a symbol sequence given an effective interference based on a target distribution of symbols of a transmit signal, encodes a message into the symbol sequence based on the symbol probabilities, and then obtains the transmit signal based on a mapping of the symbol sequence and the effective interference using a scalar function. One example decoding device obtains a receive signal, obtains a symbol sequence based on the receive signal and a scaling factor using a scalar function, and then decodes the symbol sequence to obtain a message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for reporting redundancy version with feedback information. are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, feedback information corresponding to a code block group in conjunction with an indication of a redundancy version for retransmission of the code block group. The UE may monitor for the retransmission of the code block group based on the indication of the redundancy version for the retransmission of the code block group. The UE may then decode the retransmission of the code block group based on the monitoring and the redundancy version for the retransmission of the code block group.
