    摘要: In a method for controlling at least one fan (13) for the regulation of the cooling demand of at least two cooling elements (12) included in a drill rig (1), the cooling demand of each one of the cooling elements (12) being determined, that the determined cooling demands are weighted together and that the fan (13) is controlled based on the weighting together. At least one cooling element is equipped with a safety thermostat, which, if required, prevents undercooling by the fact that the fluid in question is not allowed to circulate in this cooling element. Also described is a drill rig for the execution of the above-mentioned method.

An intake air temperature detection member detects a temperature of ambient air introduced into combustion chambers. An intake air amount detection member detects an amount of intake air. An engine speed detection member detects an engine speed; a blower switch detects a selected contacting point for driving a blower motor; and a control unit calculates a primary modeled coolant temperature and an auxiliary modeled coolant temperature based on information detected by the coolant temperature detection member, the intake air temperature detection member, the intake air amount detection member, the engine speed detection member, and the blower switch, and for monitoring using the primary modeled coolant temperature and the auxiliary modeled coolant temperature to determine whether a thermostat is in a stuck-open state.

    摘要: An apparatus and method are provided for facilitating the cooling of engine coolant flowing through a radiator operatively connected to the engine of an engine-driven, electrical generator set. The engine has a crankshaft rotatable about a first axis and a radiator having a first side directed towards the engine and a second side. The apparatus includes a fan positionable on the second side of the radiator that is rotatable about a second axis generally parallel to and vertically spaced from the first axis. The apparatus includes a thermally responsive clutch having a driven portion. The clutch is movable between a first disengaged position wherein the driven portion is isolated from the crankshaft and a second engaged position wherein the driven portion rotates in unison with the crankshaft in response to a predetermined temperature. A fan drive system interconnects the driven portion of the clutch and the fan for translating rotation of the driven portion to the fan.

    摘要: A method for cooling a motor vehicle engine consists in regulating the volume and the flow rate of a coolant fluid in a hydraulic circuit provided with a branch equipped with an electronically controlled actuator and means forming radiator. The method comprises a step of determining the temperature of the cooling liquid, a step of comparing the temperature of the cooling liquid with a specified threshold temperature from which the engine is said to be hot, and, when the temperature of the fluid is higher than the threshold temperature, the flow rate in the radiator branch is regulated so as to maintain the temperature of the cooling fluid around a specified setpoint value. The curve representing the opening of the thermostat valve based on the temperature of the cooling fluid exhibits an hysteresis around the setpoint temperature. The invention also concerns a device for cooling a motor vehicle engine.

The temperature at a bridge between two exhaust valves of an internal combustion engine can be measured only with great effort during operation.
