摘要: An analytical device for determining a measured variable dependent on the concentration of one or more constituents of a sample includes a decomposition reactor surrounded by an insulating tube, a heating apparatus, an oxygen production system including at least one oxygen permeable membrane, a housing, and a feed gas guiding system for supplying a feed gas to the at least one membrane of the oxygen production system. The feed gas guiding system includes a reaction space surrounding the at least one membrane and is connected with an inflow duct open to the environment such that at least two partitions are arranged coaxially within the insulating tube and surrounding the decomposition reactor, where the partitions subdivide an intermediate space arranged between the decomposition reactor and the insulating tube into annular chambers forming the feed gas guiding system, where the annular chambers are connected with one another by overflow openings.

摘要: Certain embodiments are directed to a point-of-care (POC) microfluidic biochip for rapid, highly sensitive and specific pertussis diagnosis. The POC biochip can be used in various venues such as physician's office, schools, hospitals, and low-resource settings so that rapid prevention and treatment of pertussis can be achieved. The POC biochip based pertussis diagnosis is low-cost and does not rely on any specialized instrument, but offers comparable sensitivity to real-time PCR.

摘要: The Benchtop Laboratory Apparatus Automation System, hereafter referred to as BLAAS, is designed for automation of common laboratory benchtop devices such as pipette tip boxes, waste containers, sample tubes and trays, and reagent or solvent containers. The BLAAS consists of a microprocessor, sensor and physical actuator attached to the benchtop device. A user's hand approaching the device will be detected and the system will respond by opening the device, allowing hands-free access to the contents. After a short delay, the top closes again after the hand clears the device. A light will illuminate to indicate when the device is actively opening, and parameters like the speed of the movement, the stop positions of the servo and the time the device remains open can be adjusted.

摘要: An evaporator for environmental test chamber includes a plate-type fin and plurality of pipelines wherein: the pipelines are divided into three types: refrigerating pipelines, dehumidifying pipelines and defrosting pipelines; the refrigerating pipelines are arranged alternately one by one, more by more, and one by more with the dehumidifying pipelines in transverse direction of a plate surface of the plate-type fin; refrigerating pipelines receive a refrigerating refrigerant supplied from a refrigerating-system, the dehumidifying pipelines receive dehumidifying refrigerant supplied from a dehumidifying-system, and defrosting pipelines receive hot air discharged from the dehumidifying-system compressor exhaust hole. The evaporator is simultaneously used for refrigerating and dehumidifying, and refrigerating and dehumidifying share the evaporator's whole evaporation area, and at least one evaporator pipeline is remained to serve as the defrosting pipelines, guiding the hot air output from the compressor of the dehumidifying-system to the evaporator to heat the evaporator surface to achieve the defrosting effect.

摘要: A two layer and/or a three-layer device is disclosed that allows samples therein to remain at a warmer or a colder temperature than would be ordinarily possible without the use of the two or three-layer device. The two-layer device contains an interior layer that comprises the sample, and a middle or intermediate layer that comprises chemical species that undergoes an exothermic or endothermic reaction. The three layer device further has an outer layer that contains an insulating layer. When the three layer device is used for samples, the temperature of the sample can remain at a temperature around 11° C. or less for at least about 5.5 to 6 hours.
