摘要: A medical robotic work station includes a frame and a robotic manipulator mounted on the frame for performing a treatment procedure on a patient seated in a chair adjacent the frame. The patient is in a seating posture and support locations are provided on the frame for resting bony members of the patient. Sensors track movement and position of the body members of the patient during performance of the treatment procedure by the robotic manipulator. The robotic manipulator is adapted to perform at least one of a medical, a dental, an ophthalmic and an orthopedic treatment procedure. A physician sits at a display monitor of a physician's work station for programming, monitoring and verifying a robot program for controlling the robotic manipulator to perform the treatment procedure.

摘要: A damping dental post key configured to implant a dental root post for restoration of a tooth is described. The dental post key includes a body for handling and a post carrier having a key shape with respect to a head portion of the dental root post. During implantation of the dental post, rotation of the body compresses a set of springs in contact with the post carrier reducing a reaction force to a tooth root. In this way a limited force will be applied and a root fracture can be prevented. Further, the dental post key can be configured to have a fixed movement in a counterclockwise direction to remove the dental post and a free quarter-cycle movement with effort in a clockwise direction.

摘要: A system of components or implements for easily and precisely installing a dental implant, and a method of installing the dental implant, within a patient's jaw, is disclosed. The system comprises a rotary cutter guide and a rotary cutter. Orthogonal slots are defined within the rotary cutter guide so as to precisely position the rotary cutter within the rotary cutter guide as well as to permit the rotary cutter to form slots within a patient's jaw so as to accommodate winged members of a winged dental implant. A method of installation is also disclosed, and the system and method may be utilized in conjunction with the installation of both a single winged implant or a dual winged implant wherein the two winged implants are connected together by means of a connecting bar or plate.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a fortified plastic connector mount having a plastic generally conical nose with a top and bottom, the bottom formed as part of or affixed to the flat top of a body and the top of the nose having a square channel guide with corners. The channel is formed axial and centered in the nose and of a size to accept a tool or shaft. At 90 degree orientation from each other are four pairs of force buttressing ribs “FBR” wherein the FBR have a bottom affixed at said flat top, and the FBR has a support edge affixed to an annular outer wall of the nose. The four pairs of FBR each pair being positioned along one of the four sides of the square channel. In some instances, each FBR further comprises an interior edge and an outer edge and each outer edge is aligned with a corner.

摘要: Dental retention systems which facilitate the adjustment or removal of an oral appliance, e.g., a crown or bridge, from a reconfigurable abutment assembly are described. The adjustable abutment assembly may be secured to an anchoring implant within the mouth of a patient. The abutment assembly has a projecting abutment portion with one or more shape memory elements extending along the projecting abutment portion. Energy may be applied to the elements such that the arcuate portion self-flattens to allow for the oral appliance to be placed thereupon while removal of the energy allows the elements to reconfigure into its curved configuration thereby locking the oral appliance to the abutment. Removal of the oral appliance may be effected by reapplication of energy to the elements.
