摘要: A method of forming a cavity in bone, the cavity formed and instruments used to form the cavity with an ultrasonic, piezoelectric surgical device for subsequent insertion of a blade implant. The method includes inserting instruments into a cavity to abrade the bone and shape the thickness of the cavity to be equal to or smaller than the implant. The cavity is formed with a generally tapered shape with at least one necked-down portion that may be in a trabecular bone. The instruments include a tip having a working portion with faces angled relative to one another and surface formations that abrade a cavity sidewall surface when moved rapidly and held against the surface.

摘要: Device for inspecting the stability of a dental implant (1) in a bone (2), the implant having a free end (1a) and an end (1b) buried in the bone (2). The device comprises an ultrasonic transducer (12) for emitting and collecting an ultrasonic wave reflected from a contact interface (4) between the implant (1) and the bone (2), and providing a measurement signal representing the reflected ultrasonic wave. The device also comprises a processing unit for computing, based on the measurement signal, an indicator (IN) whose value makes it possible to evaluate the integration of the implant (1) into the bone (2). The indicator (IN) corresponds to the average energy of the measurement signal over a time interval (t1-t2) starting at a first time (t1) and ending at a second time (t2). The first time (t1) is between 20 and 80 μs after the start of the emission of the ultrasonic wave.

摘要: A dental appliance set may include a base frame and at least one attachment. The base frame may be configured to engage at least one of a gum tissue area, a bone structure, an existing detention, and an artificial fixed prosthesis of a patient. The base frame may have an arcuate shaped structure and may not obstruct a surgical site region of an alveolar ridge of a patient jaw. The at least one attachment may be attachable to the base frame using a second connector element selectively engaging the first connector element. The at least one attachment may be configured to obstruct at least a portion of the surgical site region of the top ridge. The base frame and the at least one attachment may be configured to be fully received in the patient's mouth in an assembled orientation.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide an osseointegrative implant and related tools, components and fabrication techniques for surgical bone fixation and dental restoration purposes. In one embodiment an all-ceramic single-stage threaded or press-fit implant is provided having finely detailed surface features formed by ceramic injection molding and/or spark plasma sintering of a powder compact or green body comprising finely powdered zirconia. In another embodiment a two-stage threaded implant is provided having an exterior shell or body formed substantially entirely of ceramic and/or CNT-reinforced ceramic composite material. The implant may include one or more frictionally anisotropic bone-engaging surfaces. In another embodiment a densely sintered ceramic implant is provided wherein, prior to sintering, the porous debound green body is exposed to ions and/or particles of silver, gold, titanium, zirconia, YSZ, α-tricalcium phosphate, hydroxyapatite, carbon, carbon nanotubes, and/or other particles which remain lodged in the implant surface after sintering. Optionally, at least the supragingival portions of an all-ceramic implant are configured to have high translucence in the visible light range. Optionally, at least the bone-engaging portions of an all-ceramic implant are coated with a fused layer of titanium oxide.

摘要: Embodiments of the present application provide a calibration method and device for dental implant navigation surgery, and a tracking method and device for dental implant navigation surgery. The calibration method comprises: (110) obtaining a position of a scanning area (304) relative to a second visual marker (306) based on a spatial position of a first visual marker (305) disposed on a scanning device (302), a spatial position of the second visual marker (306) disposed on a surgical area (303), and a scanning position of the scanning area (304) obtained by scanning with the scanning device (302); and (120) registering the position of the scanning area (304) relative to the second visual marker (306) with a three-dimensional scene to obtain a transformation matrix, and applying the transformation matrix to the tracking of a surgical instrument. Therefore, the position change of a surgical instrument may be reflected in real time in the three-dimensional scene without implanting a marker point into the body of a patient, even if the patient's head moves during the surgery, thereby accurately tracking the surgical instrument in real time.
