Abstract: A device is configured to obtain, from a transmitting device, error correction data that provides error correction information and is generated based on encoded video data of one or more blocks of a picture of the video data; generate prediction data for the picture using one or more coding tools not used for generating the encoded video data, wherein the prediction data for the picture comprises predictions of the blocks based at least in part on previously reconstructed pictures; generate encoded video data based on the prediction data for the second picture; generate error-corrected encoded video data using the error correction data to perform an error correction operation on the encoded video data; and perform a reconstruction operation that reconstructs the blocks of the picture based on the error-corrected encoded video data, wherein the reconstruction operation is controlled by the values of one or more parameters.

Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication at a UE is provided. The apparatus is configured to receive one or more pilot signals superimposed on a data signal from a network entity. The apparatus is further configured to receive an indication of a first set of locations in at least one of time or frequency from the network entity. The data signal or the scrambled data signal is near orthogonal to a channel estimation filter of the transmission channel between the network entity and the UE at the first set of locations. The apparatus is further configured to transmit characteristics of the transmission channel to the network entity. The characteristics of the transmission channel is determined based at least in part on the first set of locations.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for signaling mechanisms associated with transmission puncturing schemes for rateless coding. In some aspects, a transmitting device may encode a message using a rateless code associated with a cumulative encoding of various portions of the message and may perform transmission puncturing to adapt a bit rate of related signal transmissions. The transmitting device may signal an indication of the transmission puncturing scheme, and potentially one or more modifications to the transmission puncturing scheme, to a receiving device via control signaling. The transmitting device may modify the transmission puncturing scheme in accordance with prioritizing retransmissions for some cumulative portions of the message ahead of other cumulative portions, such as by granting prioritized cumulative portions of the message relatively earlier transmission occasions in the transmission puncturing scheme.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may monitor sets of decoding candidates over a search space in each monitoring occasion to detect downlink control transmissions. Such a monitoring process may be resource intensive. To reduce the processing power involved in monitoring the control channel, a UE may measure resources associated with the downlink control channel to obtain a quality metric. The UE may compare the quality metric to one or more thresholds and may perform a decoding process on a set of configured decoding candidates for the downlink control channel based on the comparing. In some cases, if the channel quality is relatively good, the UE may perform a list decoding process using a list size less than a maximum list size or may perform partial data tone processing to reduce the processing complexity for some of the decoding candidates.

In some aspects, a transmitting device may encode a message using a rateless code associated with a cumulative encoding of various portions of the message, and using a device identifier or group identifier as an input to the encoding. Similarly, a receiving device may receive an encoded signal over candidate resources and may attempt to decode the signal in accordance with the rateless code and using a device identifier or a group identifier as an input to the decoding. As such, intended or non-intended receiving device may be able to evaluate whether to proceed with a decoding attempt or to terminate a decoding attempt at a relatively early stage.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a first wireless device. The first wireless device may participate in a beam forming procedure with a second wireless device to evaluate a plurality of transmit (TX) and receive (RX) beam pairs. The first wireless device may select one of the TX and RX beam pairs based on the evaluation. The first wireless device may determine at least one cryptographic key based on channel parameters associated with a selected one of the TX and RX beam pairs. Abstract: User equipment (UE) may benefit from power management techniques, for example, in the context of cellular vehicle-to-everything (CV2X) communication. In various aspects of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE configured to determine whether a first subframe includes at least one sub-channel carrying information intended for the UE, receive the information via at least one receive (Rx) chain associated with the at least one sub-channel when the information intended for the UE is carried on the at least one sub-channel included in the first subframe, and deactivate the at least one Rx chain associated with the at least one sub-channel based on whether the information intended for the UE is absent from the at least one sub-channel included in the first subframe.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a first device may combine, for each of a set of sub-blocks of a block of data, a set of unencoded bits associated with a respective sub-block with a matrix to generate a set of encoded bits. The first device may transmit a first message including the block to a second device. The second device may determine respective probabilities of successful decoding of respective selected candidate codewords for the set of sub-blocks of the block based on receiving the first message and may transmit one or more indicators associated with one or more sub-blocks based on the respective probabilities of successful decoding of the respective selected candidate codewords. The first device may transmit a second message including redundancy information for the one or more sub-blocks based on transmitting the one or more indicators.
