Abstract:
The present disclosure describes, among other things, a thermo-responsive hydrogel comprising a PNIPAM copolymer having adhesive properties that are temperature dependent, as well as a device for administering the hydrogel, and methods for making and using the foregoing.
Abstract:
Methods, materials and apparatus are described for synthesizing a monolayer or few-layers of graphene. Depositing the graphene can include, in some implementations, flowing hydrogen and carbon feedstock over a catalytic layer formed on a substrate.
Abstract:
A non-volatile memory cell having a split gate, wherein the floating gate and the coupling/control gate have complimentary non-planar shapes. The shape may be a step shape. An array of such cells and a method of manufacturing the cells are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A fixed-rail rotor pump and fixed-rail rotor pump combined supercharging internal combustion engine are described. In the fixed-rail rotor pump, a rotor shaft runs through a rotor; the rotor is internally tangent to the inner wall of the cylinder; the inner side of at least one side of a cylinder-end cover is fixed with a convex fixed-rail disposed concentrically with the cylinder; the rotor runs through the cylinder end cover and the fixed-rail; a piston is provided along the external periphery of the rotor and is rotatably connected to the rotor via a rotating shaft of the piston; the rotor is provided with a piston comprises a top arc surface, a bottom arc surface the three angels of the piston constitute an equilateral triangle; the top angle of the piston keeps contact with the inner wall of the cylinder; the bottom arc surface of the piston is externally tangent to the outer peripheral surface of the fixed-rail; the piston moves in a curved path around the fixed-rail.
Abstract:
A method of alarm management in a communications system having a number of Femto base stations, the method comprising the steps of: detecting disruption of a communication link between a Femto base station and a management system via which alarms are communicated; blocking the sending of alarms by the Femto base station; generating a report representative of the accumulation of alarms; detecting re-establishment of the communication link; sending the report to the management system; and reporting alarms to the management system on the basis of the report.
Abstract:
A non-volatile memory cell has a single crystalline substrate of a first conductivity type with a top surface. A first region of a second conductivity type is in the substrate along the top surface. A second region of the second conductivity type is in the substrate along the top surface, spaced apart from the first region. A channel region is the first region and the second region. A word line gate is positioned over a first portion of the channel region, immediately adjacent to the first region. The word line gate is spaced apart from the channel region by a first insulating layer. A floating gate is positioned over another portion of the channel region. The floating gate has a lower surface separated from the channel region by a second insulating layer, and an upper surface opposite the lower surface. The floating gate has a first side wall adjacent to but separated from the word line gate; and a second side wall opposite the first side wall. The second side wall and the upper surface form a sharp edge, with the second side wall greater in length than the first side wall. The upper surface slopes upward from the first side wall to the second side wall. A coupling gate is positioned over the upper surface of the floating gate and is insulated therefrom by a third insulating layer. An erase gate is positioned adjacent to the second side wall of the floating gate. The erase gate is positioned over the second region and insulated therefrom.
Abstract:
A User Equipment (UE), a method for determining a resource, a method for reporting a resource, and a system for distributing a resource are provided. The method for determining a resource includes: if transmission data on the carrier reaches maximum transmission data supported in a scope allowed by Service Grant (SG), and a transmission power of the UE is capable of improving a data transmission rate of the carrier, and the carrier and the other one carrier of the dual carriers are incapable of completing transmitting total buffer status data in the same delay period, determining that a resource distributed to a UE on one carrier of dual carriers of the UE is insufficient; otherwise, determining that the resource distributed for the UE on the carrier is sufficient. Therefore, a solution for reporting the resource of the dual carriers is provided, so as to improve a network performance.
Abstract:
There are provided measures for terminal measurement configuration in carrier aggregation, said measures exemplarily including a configuration of one or more carriers for automatic terminal measurements relating to network performance on said one or more carriers, said one or more carriers being carriers in a carrier aggregation for one or more terminals, wherein said configuration may be dependent on the one or more terminals' capabilities in terms of single- or multi-carrier terminal measurements. According to such configuration, automatic terminal measurements may be performed simultaneously on the configured one or more carriers or on the configured one or more carriers based on a predetermined priority of each carrier. Said measures may exemplarily be applied for in an MDT context.
Abstract:
A technique, including transmitting from an access node of an access network an instruction to transmit one or more decoding performance reports relating exclusively to a specific type of service, which decoding performance report includes information about the result of one or more attempts to decode at a communication device one or more transmissions via which said specific type of service is provided.
