摘要: For an internal combustion engine including an in-cylinder injector and an intake port injector, proper ignition timing setting means is provided for setting a proper ignition timing according to the fuel injection ratio between injection from the in-cylinder injector and injection from the intake port injector. When a change is made in the fuel injection ratio, the proper ignition timing setting means selects one of a proper ignition timing value before the change and a proper ignition timing value after the change that is on the retard side and sets the ignition timing at the selected proper ignition timing value in at least a predetermined period of time after the change.

摘要: A control apparatus of an internal combustion engine which is capable of a lean burn operation and which includes a catalyst which is provided in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine and which has an oxidizing ability, a supercharger; an in-passage injection valve which injects fuel into an intake passage; an in-cylinder injection valve which injects fuel into a cylinder, and a variable valve apparatus which changes at least one of an opening timing of an intake valve and a closing timing of an exhaust valve. The control apparatus performs creating a valve overlap that is a state where the intake valve and the exhaust valve of the internal combustion engine are opened, completing an injection of fuel from the in-passage injection valve during a period in which the intake valve is closed, and completing an injection of fuel from the in-cylinder injection valve during an intake stroke when intake air pressure of the internal combustion engine is higher than atmospheric pressure.

When the EGR valve is open, a determination is made as to whether the amount of intake air is in an increasing tendency or in a decreasing tendency with respect to a change in the cylinder injection ratio, and a value of the amount of intake air thus obtained is corrected based on the determination.

摘要: A fuel injection control device for an engine including a cylinder injector and an air intake passage injector is provided. The device changes a fuel injection style, from a compression stroke cylinder injection by the cylinder injector which is executed from a predetermined instant immediately after the beginning of the cold start of engine until a predetermined period has passed, to the combination of an air intake passage injection by the air intake passage injector, an intake stroke cylinder injection and a compression stroke cylinder injection by the cylinder injector which is executed after the predetermined period has passed. During the cold start of engine, the favorable combustion stability is obtained by the compression stroke cylinder injection before the predetermined period has passed, and an amount of HC is reduced after the passage of the predetermined period, promoting warming-up of catalyst.

摘要: A direct cylinder injection-type spark ignition internal combustion engine is disclosed. The engine comprises a spark plug, a cavity formed in the top surface of a piston, and a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into the cavity in nearly the shape of a fan having a relatively small thickness. When the fuel injected in nearly the shape of a fan from the fuel injection valve is considered by being divided into a plurality of fuel segments in a radial direction, a side wall of the cavity has a first fuel deflection passage 82a and a second fuel deflection passage 82b for so deflecting at least two of the plurality of fuel segments as to pass near the spark plug. The side wall of the cavity is at least partly provided with a return portion 83 that protrudes toward the inside of the cavity. The first fuel deflection passage is not provided with the return portion 83 or is provided with the return portion having a short protrusion, and the second fuel deflection passage is provided with the return portion 83 having a long protrusion.

摘要: An EGR apparatus includes a EGR passage and an EGR valve provided in the EGR passage to regulate an EGR flow rate in the EGR passage. An ECU closes the EGR valve from an open state prior to start of deceleration of the engine based on engine rotation speed detected by a rotation speed sensor, accelerator opening degree detected by an accelerator sensor, and actual opening degree of the EGR valve. During deceleration of the engine, the ECU obtains a target opening degree of the EGR valve according to the separately detected engine rotation speed and accelerator opening degree from a target opening degree map and starts to close the EGR valve when a difference between an actual opening degree and the target opening degree of the EGR valve exceeds a predetermined value.
