    Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for delaying accept request messages for sidelink network coded communication. A network coding device can receive from a transmitting wireless communication device a sidelink transmission including a packet and a network coding request flag requesting the network coding device perform retransmission(s) of the packet. The network coding device can then receive feedback information for the first packet from a receiving wireless communication device that received the packet at a first time. In addition, the network coding device can transmit an accept request message to the transmitting device indicating whether the network coding device accepts performing retransmission(s) of the packet at a second time different than the first time.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications device, such as a roadside unit (RSU) or a user equipment (UE), may transmit a network coding packet on a sidelink to perform an efficient retransmission for multiple packets. In some systems, a base station may coordinate sidelink communications between devices, such as by granting resources for the devices to communicate on the sidelink. The device which transmits the network coding packet may request resources from the base station, and the base station may grant resources for the device to transmit the network coding packet. These techniques may be implemented to prevent the base station from granting resources to the original source UEs for retransmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), may receive, at a processing layer of the UE, sets of discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle parameters from a corresponding set of applications at an application layer of the UE. The UE may determine, based on the sets of DRX parameters, a common DRX cycle to satisfy each of the sets of applications. The UE may transmit the common DRX cycle to one or more layers in the user plane protocol stack of the UE. A base station may also receive a request, from the UE, for a set of DRX cycle parameters that satisfies the common DRX cycle of the UE. The base station may transmit an indication of the set of DRX parameters, and receive, from the UE, a confirmation of a DRX cycle associated with the set of DRX cycle parameters.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure to techniques for sidelink discovery in millimeter wave (e.g., Frequency Range 2 (FR2), or 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz) bands. For example, the disclosed techniques provides generating a sidelink discovery message including device information of the UE and non-device information. The sidelink discovery message is outputted for transmission. A sidelink connection with a receiver (Rx) UE can then be established after the output of the sidelink discovery message. Very often, beam training is required for FR2 communications. After beam sweep, the transmitter (Tx) UE and the Rx UE become aware of the primary beam directions and need to discover each other on a device level, by associating a beam pair link to a peer UE. As FR2 link often have high overhead to establish and maintain, the disclosed techniques enables device level and service level discovery using the discover message.

    Abstract: Techniques are described herein for determining a priority ranking for channel state information (CSI) reports based at least in part on a reliability parameter, a latency parameter, or both of resources allocated to a user equipment (UE). In some wireless communications systems, ultra reliable low latency communication (URLLC) services may be interspersed with enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) services. The UE may perform a CSI report prioritization procedure to account for reliability parameters, latency parameters or both. In some cases, CSI reporting for resources associated URLLC services may receive higher priority than CSI reporting for eMBB services. The UE may be configured to determine reliability parameters and/or latency parameters based on signaling received from the network or from determining changes to one or more configurations of the UE. In some cases, the priority ranking of the CSI report may be based at least in part on a slot set identifier.
