Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to performing hybrid grant-free and grant-based uplink (UL) data transmission. A wireless communication device dynamically selects between a grant-free mode and a grant-based mode based on at least a transmission configuration. The wireless communication device sends a first data packet in the grant-free mode, based on the selecting, using a first UL resource. The wireless communication device sends a second data packet in the grant-based mode, based on the selecting, using a second UL resource allocated to the wireless communication device. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Some wireless communication systems may attempt to balance frequent transmission opportunities (e.g., where the frequency of the opportunities may refer to gaps in the time domain, frequency domain, etc.) with a desire for communication reliability and/or interference diversity. In accordance with the described techniques, some such systems may apportion communicating devices into groups, where resources are strategically assigned to each group so as to reduce latency without significantly compromising communication reliability or interference diversity (e.g., by allowing a membership of the groups to cycle through all possible combinations before repeating). Such techniques may support delay-sensitive communications, channel sounding procedures, or other similar types of transmissions. Resources may be allocated based on a scheduling parameter transmitted to a user equipment (UE), which may implicitly or explicitly indicate a plurality of resource offsets to the UE.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing mixed interference management are disclosed. Implementations providing mixed interference management may provide operation to receive reported mixed interference information from at least one of one or more user equipments (UEs) served by the base station or from one or more other base stations operable in a same communication system, wherein the mixed interference information comprises information regarding at least one of downlink-to-uplink or uplink-to-downlink interference experienced by a respective reporting one of the one or more UEs and one or more other base stations, and to provide mixed interference management using the reported mixed interference information. The mixed interference information may be used to generate jamming graphs, wherein the jamming graphs provide a mixed interference profile for base stations, and wherein the jamming graphs may be used to determine whether to implement a switch of uplink/downlink subframes based on the interference mitigated mixed interference profile.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may transmit feedback, such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD) feedback for groups of code blocks rather than for an entire transport block or individual code blocks. The wireless device may transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) or negative-acknowledgement (NACK) to provide feedback for each code block group of a set of code block groups. An ACK may indicate that code blocks in a code block group were successfully decoded, and a NACK may indicate that at least one code block in a code block group was not successfully decoded. Wireless devices may support several techniques for grouping code blocks for feedback reporting to allow for efficient retransmissions and limited overhead. Different grouping schemes may be employed depending on system constraints, device capability, link conditions, or the like.

In an aspect, the apparatus is a subordinate entity that receives an indication of a resource allocated for an uplink transmission. The subordinate entity also receives a condition associated with the resource. The subordinate entity evaluates whether the condition is satisfied and determines whether to transmit a packet using the resource based on the condition being satisfied. In another aspect, the apparatus is a scheduling entity that generates an indication of a resource allocated for an uplink transmission. The resource is associated with a condition that limits access to the resource. The scheduling entity transmits the indication and the condition to a subordinate entity and receives a packet from the subordinate entity via the resource based on the condition being satisfied.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that may provide an accurate estimate of an AP's available medium share. The AP may perform a plurality medium access contention operations to determine a duration of a transmit opportunity and a queue service interval for each of a plurality of access categories. The AP may also determine a queue service interval for a number of packet queues associated with each of the access categories. The AP may use timing information derived from the medium access contention operations to estimate a portion of the medium share available on a per-access category and/or per-user basis. The timing information may include the transmit opportunity durations and queue service intervals for the access categories, the queue service intervals for the individual packet queues, and/or values indicative of the AP's PHY rate and medium utilization.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for managing interfaces for wireless communications. In one method, at least one active interface of a user equipment (UE) may be used for the wireless communications. While using the at least one active interface, a need for increased bandwidth for the wireless communications may be detected.
