摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure describe managing beams in wireless communications. A beam management event configuration indicating a type of at least one beam to measure in determining occurrence of a trigger condition for a beam management event can be received. A parameter of a signal received from one or more nodes can be measured, where the signal corresponds to the type of the at least one beam. The occurrence of the trigger condition for the beam management event can be determined based on the parameter of the signal. An indication of the occurrence of the trigger condition can be reported to the one or more nodes or a different node.

摘要: Techniques and apparatus for a control plane design for bandwidth part (BWP) in new radio (NR) are provided. One technique includes sending information with an indication of a BWP capability of a user equipment (UE) to a base station (BS). A configuration from the BS indicating a set of BWPs available to use for communication is received in response to the indication. Communications are performed on at least one of the set of BWPs. Another technique includes receiving information having an indication of a BWP capability of the UE. A configuration indicating a set of BWPs available for the UE to use for communication is determined. The configuration is sent to the UE.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first base station for wireless communication, associated with a first radio access technology (RAT), may generate a message to cause a user equipment to wake up from a power saving state or to reconfigure a cycle associated with the power saving state, wherein the message includes an indication that the user equipment is to wake up from the power saving state or to reconfigure the cycle; and/or transmit the message toward the user equipment via a second base station, associated with a second RAT and the user equipment, to cause the user equipment to wake up from the power saving state or reconfigure the cycle. Numerous other aspects are provided.

摘要: Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling of direct current (DC) locations of user equipment devices (UEs) in a new radio (NR) network are provided. A wireless communication device receives, from a base station, at least one of a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration or a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration. The wireless communication device determines a direct current (DC) location based on at least one of the CA configuration or the BWP configuration. The wireless communication device transmits, to the base station, a report based on the determined DC location. The wireless communication device communicates, with the base station, a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) configured based on the report.

摘要: Systems and techniques are disclosed to separate paging and access cell selection (and use) among available cells based on different paging cell and access cell requirements and specific service availability. A UE selects a first cell that meets paging cell requirements as a paging cell and a second cell that meets service requirements as an access cell. Once the UE selects a paging cell, the UE camps on the paging cell to wait for a paging request or a mobile originated request. The UE can select and camp on the access cell prior to a data need, where latency requirements are strict, or delay access cell selection until there is data to transmit where latency requirements are more lax. The UE may also include measurement information of surrounding cells with a paging response/service request, which a core network uses to speed up establishment of dual connectivity or carrier aggregation.

摘要: New radio (NR) power headroom report (PHR) design for millimeter wave (mmWave) deployment is discussed. The power control process for mmWave may include beam-specific periodic PHR reporting and user equipment (UE)-specific event-trigger PHR reporting. The periodic PHR reporting may either provide a single PHR that includes power headroom information for each of the serving beams, or the UE may be configured to measure and report PHR for different beams in different slots. When reporting a single PHR with power headroom information for multiple serving beams, a beam index may be included in the reserved bits of the PHR. For the event-trigger PHR, the PHR reported based on a detected event trigger may provide power headroom information only for the current serving beam, or for all serving beams.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain access to a base station by performing an initial access procedure within an initial access bandwidth that contains control channel resources. The UE may receive a configuration of a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) following the initial access procedure, and may determine that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth. In some cases, the UE may make the determination based on an indication sent from the base station. For instance, the indication may be provided as part of one or more control channel configurations transmitted to the UE. Based on determining that the downlink BWP fully contains the initial access bandwidth, the UE may monitor for control information in the downlink BWP using control channel resources in the downlink BWP that correspond to control channel resources used in the initial access bandwidth.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to operate in dual connectivity (DC) and with split radio bearers, such that one or more split radio bearers are associated with a first cell group and one or more split radio bearers are associated with a second cell group. In some cases, a cell group failure may occur. Accordingly, the UE may autonomously update one or more radio bearer configurations of the split radio bearers to determine a processing scheme for the cell group failure. Additionally or alternatively, as a result of the cell group failure, an amount of unacknowledged data in a radio link control (RLC) buffer for the second cell group may get stuck such that the network cannot access it. Accordingly, the UE may perform a PDCP data recovery (e.g., user plane handling) to access the unacknowledged data.
