摘要: A conduit for use as a filler pipe for transferring hydrocarbon containing fuels such as gasoline from an inlet point to a storage tank which is to be blow molded comprises a plurality of layers. The innermost layer is made from electrically conductive high density polyethylene and serves to bleed off static electricity generated during the fuel filling process. At least one of the other layers of the conduit comprises barrier material which inhibits the passage of hydrocarbon vapours through the walls of said conduit as hydrocarbon containing fuels flow along the conduit. Advantageously, the conduit may include a mounting tab intermediate the ends, the tab having a web portion which is electrically connected to the inner conductive layer to assist in locating the fuel filler conduit and providing additional conduct of static electrically to the vehicle body or frame. A process for manufacturing such multi-layer conduit comprises simultaneously extruding a multiplicity of layers through a multiple head extruder. Advantageously, a tab as desired may be formed by pinching the extruded parison after initially blowing the parison and before finally blowing the parison.

摘要: A device for connecting a pneumatically or hydraulically operated tool to a connection coupling in order to provide the connection to a transport line which guides a liquid or gaseous medium. The device includes a first part (11) with an engaging section (13) which is provided so that it can be inserted into a receiving element on the connection coupling and therefore be detachably connected with the same. The device also has a second part (3) with a connecting section (5), which is configured for being permanently connected to the tool. The two parts (3, 11) each have at least one additional section (9, 17), one of the additional sections (9) radially, externally surrounding the other, at a distance, and an elastic connection (19) being provided between the two additional sections. The connection can be produced by casting, injecting or extruding an elastic, rubber-type material between the two sections.

摘要: An insulation piece for a pipeline conveys electrically conductive liquids from a point that is at a ground potential to a point connected to a high voltage. The liquid is conveyed discontinuously by portion-by-portion transport by the carriage flow of the liquid being interrupted. The insulation piece is periodically free of liquid, corresponding to the interruptions in the carriage flow. The insulation piece is a hollow body, and its unobstructed width is equal to or greater than that of the pipeline. Connecting pieces for connecting to the pipeline are provided on the end faces of the insulation piece, which are closed in places by terminating elements, and which connecting pieces are of the same diameter as the adjacent pipeline. The connecting pieces pass through the terminating elements, rest against them to form a seal, and each have a toroidal-form attachment on the outside at their inner end.

摘要: The present invention relates to an ventilation duct construction and a method which increases the fire-retardant capability of a ventilation duct. According to the invention, an improved fire-retardant capability of a ventilation duct or sound absorber is obtained by providing the ventilation duct with a shielding sheet at a distance from the same so that an air gap is formed therebetween. The time during which the outside temperature of the construction can be kept down is prolonged, while the construction remains compact.

摘要: A cover for use with a hose having a hose body which transitions into a distal end portion including external threads. The cover comprises an engagement portion which is releaseably attachable to the end portion of the hose. Extending from the engagement portion is a shroud portion which is moveable between a shielded position and an exposed position. In the shielded position, the shroud portion extends substantially over and about the threads of the end portion of the hose, thus protecting the threads from abrasion. When in the exposed position, the shroud portion extends over and about a portion of the hose body, thus uncovering or exposing the external threads on the end portion of the hose.

摘要: A decoupler for exhaust pipe of automobiles includes a bellows for absorbing bending and expansion, the bellows being airtight with respect to exhaust gas therein, and an inner, cylindrical sleeve disposed in the bellows for protecting the bellows from the exhaust gas passing through the cylindrical sleeve. A guide member is disposed at one end of the bellows outside of and around at least a portion of the bellows, and a cover member is disposed at the other end of the bellows outside of and around at least a portion of the bellows. A first mesh ring and a second mesh ring are disposed between the guide member and the cover member and form a sliding surface in contact with a body portion of the cover member and circular-arc surfaces of the guide member. A first cushion mesh ring and a second cushion mesh ring are disposed between a first inclined section of the cover member and the first mesh ring and a second inclined of the cover member and the second mesh ring, respectively, the first cushion mesh ring and the second cushion mesh ring being made of a material that is adapted to be compressed and expanded.
