摘要： The angular extent of the flow path in a fan scroll is extended by reducing the rate of radial expansion of the flow path. By extending the angular as circumferential extent of the scroll flow path downstream of the fan impeller ANC structure can be located in/on the scroll while being located a sufficient distance downstream of the impeller. The flow path length can be increased without increasing the cubage of the scroll and, if desired, a further flow path increase can be achieved by a combination of the reduced rate of radial expansion together with increasing the cubage.

A multiple door assembly (44) covers the access opening. To enhance the illumination of the display space, a pair of vertically extending side reflectors (92) are provided, one extending along one side of the access opening and the other extending along the other side of the access opening. An additional reflector may be mounted to an interior facing surface of the door along an upper front region of the door and/or a lower front region.

摘要： A screw compressor is provided with a discharge chamber that receives alternating flows of compressed fluid from two compression chambers located on opposed sides of the screw compressor. The discharge chamber is provided with a central baffle plate separating the two flows. The baffle plate changes the fluid frequency of the system, and ensures that the fluid system will not operate at a frequency that approaches the natural frequency of the overall compressor, thus reducing undesirable vibrations. The baffle plate also reduces the magnitude of the fluctuations and the resultant noise.

摘要： Two microphones spaced along a duct of an air conditioning system provide inputs to circuitry whereby the noise being generated is distinguished from reflected noise. The circuitry imposes a time delay corresponding to the time required for generated noise to pass from the upstream microphone to a canceling speaker. The canceling speaker is driven by the circuitry, subject to the time delay, such that noise at the speaker is canceled by the appropriately driven speaker. In a preferred embodiment movement of the speaker is sensed whereby the actual sound being produced can be compared with the sound required by the canceling speaker driving signal.

摘要： A refrigeration apparatus having an evaporator fan motor control includes an evaporator to remove heat energy from the air in a cooled storage space. The evaporator transfers the heat energy to a refrigerant. At least one evaporator fan moves air from the cooled storage space across the evaporator to improve the transfer of heat energy into the refrigerant. The one or more evaporator fans have an energy consumption and generate a waste heat energy. A refrigeration control unit at least controls the operation of the one or more evaporator fans. During an off mode, the one or more evaporator fans are operated in a reduced energy consumption mode to reduce the energy consumption of the one or more evaporator fans and to reduce the waste heat while still defrosting the evaporator in the off mode.
