摘要: A device is provided for making an implant having a hollow region, the device comprising a print surface rotatable in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction about an axis of rotation; a print head disposed adjacent to and substantially transverse to the print surface, the print head configured to apply material used to make the implant on at least a portion of the print surface or heat material disposed on at least a portion of the print surface used to make the implant; and a base disposed adjacent to the print head and contacting the print surface, the base configured to be movable in forward, backward and lateral directions relative to the print head to make the implant having the hollow region. Methods of using the device and are also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed is a molding tool for producing a composite part using induction heating. The molding tool has a mold with a contact surface adapted to be in contact with a material to be transformed into a composite part, and an outer surface. The mold is configured to be inductively heated by at least one main coil arranged in a meander-like pattern on the outer surface of the mold, such that a magnetic field generated by an alternating electric current flowing through the at least one main coil induces currents in at least parts of the mold to be heated, and at least one perimeter coil arranged on the outer surface of the mold configured to delimit at least one area of the mold to be inductively heated. The at least one main coil and the at least one perimeter coil comprise litz wires which are electrically insulated from the mold and in operative communication with at least one processing means.

The method for manufacturing a cushioning element for sportswear such as a shoe sole, may comprise the steps of feeding foam particles into a mold cavity of a mold tool, and welding of the foam particles in the mold cavity while applying a predetermined pressure, wherein the foam particles comprise a fraction of at least 10% by weight of recycled, shredded foam particles (regenerated material) and the welding of the foam particles is effected by means of electromagnetic waves.

摘要: An induction heated tool system for receiving and heating polymer-fiber components from a starting temperature to a target temperature includes a tool part having a receiving cutout, the tool part formed from a thermally dimensionally stable material so it has a coefficient of thermal longitudinal expansion less than 10×10−6 K−1, or less than 5×10−6 K−1, or less than 4×10−6 K−1 in the plane of the largest dimension of the receiving cutout, at temperatures between the starting and target temperatures. A receiving cutout for receiving a polymer-fiber component is in the tool part, the receiving cutout delimited by a receiving surface portion so a polymer-fiber component received in the receiving cutout can lie against the receiving surface portion. A susceptor element includes a ferromagnetic material with a first Curie temperature. The susceptor element is on a surface portion of the tool part outside the receiving cutout and the receiving surface portion.

摘要: A system and method for forming a seal member onto a substrate from a material is disclosed. The system includes a mold comprising an ultraviolet transmissible material, the mold having a first portion and a second portion operatively coupled to the first portion, the first portion having a first cavity, a second cavity, and a channel extending from an outer surface of the mold to the second cavity. The first cavity has a first shape that is complementary to a first side of the substrate and the second cavity has a second shape that is complementary to the seal member. The system also includes an applicator in fluid communication with the channel, where the applicator is configured to provide the material to the second cavity through the channel, and an ultraviolet irradiation device configured to irradiate the mold with ultraviolet light to cure the material when the material is provided to the second cavity, such that the seal member is formed on the substrate.

摘要: A method for forming an electromagnetic shielding material includes causing a first portion of a matrix material to enter a target region of a magnetic field, thereby causing first ferromagnetic particles within the first portion of the matrix material to move such that first longitudinal axes of the first ferromagnetic particles become more aligned with the magnetic field. The method also includes curing the first portion of the matrix material within the target region of the magnetic field and thereafter causing a second portion of the matrix material to enter the target region of the magnetic field, thereby causing second ferromagnetic particles within the second portion of the matrix material to move such that second longitudinal axes of the second ferromagnetic particles become more aligned with the magnetic field. The method also includes curing the second portion of the matrix material within the target region of the magnetic field.
