摘要： A miter saw includes a base portion having a mount surface, a cutting unit supporting a saw blade, a support portion, a relative displacement smoothening member, and a sealing structure. The support portion is supported to the base portion for supporting the cutting unit. The support portion includes a rod extending in a sliding direction in parallel to the mount surface and perpendicular to a rotation axis of the saw blade, and a slide-support portion through which the rod slidably extends. The smoothening member is provided between the slide-support portion and the rod. The sealing structure is provided between the slide-support portion and the rod and includes a first seal member provided at one end of the smoothening member, a second seal member provided at an another end of the smoothening member, and a third seal member positioned opposite to the smoothening member with respect to the first seal member.

The cutting device further includes a dust guide device disposed on at least one of an upstream side and a downstream side of the dust discharge member with respect to a flow of the dust. A position of at least a part of the dust guide device changes relative to the dust discharge member according to change of the vertical position of the cutting unit.

The grip portion has a palm contact part that can be touched by a palm of the operator when the operator grasps the grip portion. The palm contact part is inclined relative to a reference line that may be perpendicular to a surface of the cutting blade.

摘要： A miter saw for use with a miter saw stand includes a base having a first clamping surface, a second clamping surface, and a first actuator. The miter saw further includes a turntable rotatable in relation to the base and having a work piece support surface. The miter saw also includes a support assembly attached to the turntable, and a cutting assembly attached to the support assembly and positioned over the turntable. The first actuator is movable between a first position and a second position. Movement of the first actuator from the first position towards the second position causes the first clamping surface to move toward the second clamping surface.
