    摘要: A wireless communication system includes a mobile device carried by a user and an in-vehicle apparatus equipped to a vehicle and communicatively connected with the mobile device. The in-vehicle apparatus includes a transmission unit, a transmission control unit, a reception determination unit, and a position determination unit. The transmission unit transmits low-frequency band request signals generated by spread modulating transmission data with predetermined spreading factors. The transmission control unit controls the transmission unit to generate and transmit first and second request signals having first and second attainable ranges by spread modulation using first and second spreading factors, respectively. The reception determination unit performs reception determination to response signal transmitted from the mobile device in response to the request signal. The position determination unit specifies the first attainable range or the second attainable range as a mobile device position area in response to a reception determination result.

    摘要: A wireless key system and location detection method determine whether a wireless key is located inside or outside a main body. A communication device in the main body transmits a wireless signal using an inner antenna and an outer antenna outside the main body having a different directivity. A wireless key measures direction of movement of the wireless key when the wireless signal is received by one of antennas having different directivities, detects one of the antennas receiving the highest signal level of the wireless signal as a first antenna, selects one of the antennas having the same directivity as the inner antenna as a second antenna according to the measured direction of movement and detected directivity of the antenna, and decides that the wireless key is inside the main body based on the signal levels of the wireless signals received by the first and second antennas.

    摘要: System and method for preventing collisions between a vehicle and objects in a path of the vehicle includes a laser system arranged to direct at least one laser beam outward therefrom and which is in an eye-safe portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, an imaging receiver for receiving at least one laser beam reflected from objects in the path of the laser beam, a processor coupled to the receiver and arranged to receive signals derived from the received laser beam and process the signals to determine a distance between the laser system and the objects from which the laser beam has been reflected, and one or more reactive systems coupled to the processor. The processor controls the reactive system to indicate the presence of objects at specific distances from the vehicle. This indication may be used to take preventive action to avoid the collision, either manually or automatically.
