Abstract: A work vehicle may include a chassis, a ground-engaging blade, a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The blade may be movably connected to the chassis via a linkage assembly configured to allow the blade to be raised and lowered and moved in a roll direction. The first sensor may be configured to provide a chassis inclination signal indicative of a main fall angle, a chassis roll signal indicative of a cross slope angle, and a chassis heading signal. The second sensor may be configured to provide a blade inclination signal and a blade roll signal. The controller may be configured to receive the signals, determine a target grade, determine a distance error based on the signals indicative of a distance between the blade and the target grade, and send a command to move the blade toward the target grade based on the distance error.

The circle drive motor includes an axis of rotation that is perpendicular to the circle axis, and the gear box includes an axis of rotation that is parallel to the circle axis.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for adjusting steering angle and articulation angle in an auto steering operation of a work vehicle. The percentage of travel of an articulation joystick of the work vehicle at least partially determines an articulation desired angle change, which can be used to calculate an articulation desired angle and a steering desired angle change. The difference between the articulation desired angle and an articulation angle detected by an articulation angle sensor is used to adjust the articulation angle. The steering desired angle change can be used to calculate a steering desired angle. The difference between the steering desired angle and a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor is used to adjust the steering angle.

Abstract: Systems to control movement of a motor grader include a sensor for providing a bounce signal indicative of a bouncing movement of the motor grader, and a controller programmed with instructions that, when executed: receive the bounce signal from the sensor; analyze the bounce signal from the sensor; determine whether the maximum amplitude of the bouncing movement exceeds a threshold; in response to determining whether the maximum amplitude exceeds the threshold, generate an articulation angle command signal to change an articulation angle of the motor grader; and transmit the articulation angle command signal to change the articulation angle.

Abstract: A controller may obtain sensor data collected by one or more sensors of a work machine having a ground-engaging implement positionable at an angle that defines a leading edge and a trailing edge of the ground-engaging implement. The sensor data may relate to material being worked by the work machine using the ground-engaging implement. The controller may detect, based on the sensor data, at least one of an accumulation of the material at the leading edge of the ground-engaging implement or a formation of a ribbon of the material forced from the leading edge of the ground-engaging implement. The controller may cause one or more position adjustments for the ground-engaging implement to resolve the at least one of the accumulation or the formation of the ribbon.

Abstract: A joint orientation system is provided for a work vehicle having a chassis and an implement coupled to the chassis at a joint. The joint orientation system includes a first IMU positioned on a first side of the work vehicle relative to the joint and configured to collect a first IMU acceleration and a first IMU angular velocity and a second IMU positioned on a second side relative to the joint and configured to collect a second acceleration and a second angular velocity of the implement. A controller is configured to receive the first and second IMU accelerations and the first and second IMU angular velocities; determine a joint orientation correction based on IMU accelerations and IMU angular velocities; modify an estimate of joint orientation with the joint orientation correction to generate a current joint orientation; and output the current joint orientation for actuation of the implement.
