Abstract:
A piston pin hole boring system and method of forming pin holes therewith includes fixing a piston to a fixture supported by a slide member. Then, rotating a cutting member about a first axis and moving the slide member with the fixture thereon toward the cutting member along the first axis and bringing the piston into cutting contact with the cutting member. Further, moving the fixture along second and third axes, each extending transversely to the first axis and machining the desired pin hole contours in the piston with the cutting member.
Abstract:
A gear grinding machine and a gear grinding method, in which a gear-shaped grinding stone is caused to engage a gear-like workpiece and one of the gear-shaped grinding stone and the gear-like workpiece is reciprocated relatively to the other in axial direction thereby to grind the tooth flanks of the workpiece, are disclosed. The rotational resistance is applied by a brake unit to the rotationally driven side. The grinding resistance and the rotational resistance interfering with the relative reciprocal motion are detected by torque sensors and input to a control unit, the average value of each of the signals is compared with a reference value by an arithmetic unit and, in the case where there is a difference between the average value and the reference value, the rotational resistance is changed by activating the brake unit. Thus, a high machining accuracy can be maintained even when the sharpness of the grinding stone is reduced.
Abstract:
A grinding apparatus comprises a base, a chuck on the base for supporting a workpiece for rotation about an axis, a first on the base to one axial side of the chuck for grinding an internal surface of the workpiece in the chuck, a second grinder on the base for grinding an external surface of the workpiece in the chuck, and fasteners for retaining the grinders releasably on the base adjacent the chuck. Thus both axial sides of the workpiece remain exposed for machining both ends of the workpiece simultaneously. The chuck is of the centerless type which engages the workpiece externally on its outer diameter between its ends, thereby leaving these ends free for grinding.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a device for removal of wheel rim burr which comprises a main body, plural positioning wheels, an eccentric wheel disposed on the main body, and at least two brush wheels disposed between two corresponding positioning wheels.
Abstract:
A center shaft machining apparatus includes: a grinding structure that moves on a machining central axis while rotating about the machining central axis and machines an end surface on one end side of a workpiece arranged on the machining central axis; an end portion support structure that supports an opposite end side of the workpiece; and a shaft portion support structure that supports a shaft support portion set at an intermediate portion of the workpiece. The end portion support structure includes an eccentric mechanism capable of supporting an opposite end of the workpiece in a state where a workpiece central axis of the workpiece is eccentric with respect to the machining central axis.
