Abstract: A single-lower-limb rehabilitation exoskeleton apparatus and control methods includes a controller, an intact lower-limb component and a paretic lower-limb component connecting communicatively with the controller. The controller is used to determine the current state of the intact lower-limb through the intact lower-limb component and the current state of the paretic lower-limb through the paretic lower-limb component. When the intact lower-limb component is in the lifting state, the movement data of the intact lower-limb is collected and sent to the controller. The controller is used to determine the corresponding gait data for the paretic lower-limb component according to the movement data of the intact lower-limb and send the gait data to the paretic lower-limb component. The paretic lower-limb component is used to drive the paretic lower-limb to move or walk according to the gait data while the intact lower-limb is in the supporting state.

Abstract: A mobile, modular and adjustable system for rehabilitation and/or mobility. The system comprises an outer frame and wheels. Abstract: A patient mobility system for early patient ambulation. The system includes a patient support apparatus comprising a patient support surface supported by a base adapted to rest upon a floor surface. An ambulation device is removably coupled to the patient support apparatus and comprises a barrier. In a coupled configuration, the ambulation device is supported off of the floor surface and the barrier prevents egress by being adjacent to a side of said patient support surface and having a height sufficient to at least partially extend above the patient support surface. In a decoupled configuration, the ambulation device engages the floor surface and provides support to the patient during ambulation away from the patient support apparatus. The barrier may comprise articulating members configured to articulate between a barrier configuration in the coupled configuration, and a deployed configuration with wheels engaging the floor surface in the decoupled configuration.

Abstract: A method for providing a therapeutic benefit includes receiving sensor data from one or more physiological sensors and environmental sensors associated with a person and determining whether the sensor data exceeds a threshold. When the sensor data exceeds the threshold, a controller activates a first tactile stimulator to provide a first stimulation for a first time period when the sensor data exceeds the threshold and then activates a second tactile stimulator to apply a second stimulation for a second time period beginning at least commensurate with a cessation of (at the same time or overlapping) the first time period. The bi-lateral stimulation is repeated for a therapeutically effective number of repetitions such that the first and second stimulations are applied bi-laterally to the body of the person without the individual perceiving a pause in stimulation between the first stimulation and second stimulation to provide the therapeutic benefit to the person.

Abstract: A training apparatus includes a fixed frame, an training rod, a motor, a rotation information detection sensor, a tilt angle calculation unit, a feedback current detection unit, a position difference calculation unit, and a determination unit. The training rod tilts with at least one degree of freedom. The motor tilts the training rod. The rotation information detection sensor outputs an amount of rotation of the motor. The tilt angle calculation unit calculates a tilt angle. The feedback current detection unit detects a feedback current value. The position difference calculation unit calculates a position difference every time when a first time period elapses. The determination unit determines an error when the position difference generated during the first time period is a first threshold or higher, or when the feedback current value keeps a first current value or higher for a second time period or longer.

Abstract: A topside control panel for a bathing unit system is provided. The topside control panel comprises a housing including a top surface and a bottom surface opposed to the top surface and a display touch or presence-sensitive assembly positioned upon the top surface of the housing. The topside control panel also includes a circuit board assembly positioned upon the bottom surface the housing. In some embodiments, the bottom surface may be circumscribed by a bottom peripheral wall, which with the bottom surface defines a recess in which is positioned the circuit board assembly. A back panel may be secured to the housing so as to enclose the second recess and form an enclosed space. The back panel may include a ventilation member configured for allowing air communication between the enclosed space and a space external to the topside control panel. In another aspect, a topside control panel having a cover frame including a cut out or window area may be provided for receiving the display touch or presence-sensitive assembly when assembled with the housing and may allow for customizing the aesthetic appearance of the topside control panel by selecting cover frames having different appearances.

Abstract: A method and a control panel are described for facilitating the control of a bathing unit system so that the bathing unit system is caused to transition between operating in accordance with a first operational mode to operating in accordance with a second operational mode. A control signal is generated in response to a unitary user input event performed by a user at a control panel of the bathing unit system, the control signal conveying an ambiance activation command associated with a specific ambience setting, the generation of the control signal comprising selecting the specific ambience setting from a set of ambience settings stored in a memory device. The control signal is then transmitted from the control panel to the controller over a communication link where it is processed to cause the bathing unit system to transition from being in the rest mode to operating in accordance with the specific ambience setting. The method and a control panel may allow simplifying the control of the bathing unit system in order to achieve a desired total effect by allowing a user to cause the bathing unit to operate in accordance with an ambience setting by way of a unitary user input event performed at the control panel.

The vertical support may be a rigid plate member, bracket, or frame. The bracket and/or frame may include at least one vertical member and at least one horizontal member. The rotary member is operably connected to the vertical support such that rotary member is free to rotate. Limb support member receives and supports the limb to be treated and is operably coupled to rotary member at a radial distance from a center of rotation thereby resulting in a circular motion of a limb when the motor is operated.
