Abstract: A magnetic conveyance system comprising a support structure having a ferromagnetic capacity and a trolley moveable upon the support structure in a plurality of directions. The trolley may include a trolley frame and at least one attractor cell disposed on the trolley frame. The at least one attractor cell may comprise a housing and at least one magnet, at least one friction reducing load spreading device, and a load transfer member disposed within the housing. The magnet may provide a magnetic attraction force between the trolley and the support structure. The friction reducing load spreading device may comprise a plurality of bearing balls circulating within a reservoir and a channel formed by the load transfer member disposed within the housing. The load transfer member may also include a bearing surface wherein a portion of the plurality of bearing balls is disposed between the bearing surface and the support structure.

Abstract: Presently provided is a method and system for providing whole body vibration therapy to a patient. The system has a table configured to hold a patient and a vibrational footplate extending outwardly from a foot of the table. The vibrational footplate is configured and disposed to vibrate and to provide whole body vibration to the patient upon the patient placing their feet thereon. An actuator is configured and disposed to adjust an inclination of the table to provide varying degrees of whole body vibration therapy to the patient. The method comprises providing whole body vibration sessions with varying degrees of whole body vibration therapy.

Abstract: A method for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes supplying an inflation gas at an operative pressure to an inflation actuated soft gripper device to change form from an undeployed state to a deployed grip state that accommodates and grips a human torso. The inflation actuated soft gripper device includes a first inflatable gripper arm having a first distal end and a second inflatable gripper arm having a second distal end. The first distal end and the second distal end approach one another from the undeployed state to the deployed grip state. The first and second distal ends are spaced apart from one another further in the undeployed state than in the deployed grip state. An actuator power and a CPR control signal are delivered to a CPR pressure application device to cyclically extend and retract a pressure applicator along an axis in alignment with a sternum of the human torso.

Abstract: A walking training apparatus includes: a treadmill; a walking assistance apparatus configured to be mounted on a leg part of a user and assist the user's walking; a first pulling means for pulling at least one of the walking assistance apparatus and the leg part of the user upward and frontward; a second pulling means for pulling at least one of the walking assistance apparatus and the leg part of the user upward and rearward; and control means for controlling, while the treadmill is not being operated, pulling forces of the first pulling means and the second pulling means in such a way that the direction of a resultant pulling force, which is a resultant force of the pulling force of the first pulling means and the pulling force of the second pulling means, is changed rearward compared to a case in which the treadmill is being operated.

Abstract: A stretching device comprises a wearable body harness with an adjustable central hold arranged around the upper body connected with an adjustable extension strap configured to engage a foot at a distal end. The extension strap is slidably connected to the central strap to move along the length of the central strap.
