Abstract: In an exemplary method, a traffic monitoring subsystem receives mobile device attribute data from a plurality of mobile devices over a network, selectively aggregates the mobile device attribute data, the selectively aggregating including identifying anomalous data in the mobile device attribute data and excluding the anomalous data from the aggregated mobile device attribute data, and generating traffic condition data based at least in part on the aggregated mobile device attribute data, the traffic condition data representative of a traffic condition. In certain examples, the traffic monitoring system provides the traffic condition data to at least one of the mobile devices.

Abstract: A system may include a touchscreen and a computing device executing an application. The application displays on the touch screen a navigation area including a centrally disposed selection element. There is a first display area in the navigation area, wherein the first display area shows a first menu item from a list of menu items. The application changes the first display area, when a next menu select action is detected based on interactions with the touch screen, to show a second menu item from the list of menu items, where in the information on the touch screen is updated to corresponds to the second menu item.

Abstract: A video image capture component includes a light source operable in a first spectrum, a first image detector operable in the first spectrum, a second light source operable in a second spectrum, and a second image detector operable in the second spectrum. A filtering component generates a combination image by filtering a first image obtained by the first image detector with a high-contrast filter, resulting in a high-contrast image, and masking a second image obtained by the second image detector using the high-contrast image. A compositing component creates a composite image from the combination image and a selected image. A display component displays the composite image.Alternative systems and methods for creating a combination image include techniques involving thermal imaging, laser detection, and narrow band frequency detection.

Abstract: In an exemplary method, a mobile device provides mobile device attribute data to a traffic monitoring subsystem, receives traffic condition data generated by the traffic monitoring subsystem based at least in part on the mobile device attribute data, presents, by way of a user interface, the traffic condition data for consideration by a user of the mobile device, and provides an interface tool configured to be used by the user to report a traffic condition to the traffic monitoring subsystem.
