Abstract: In an image processing apparatus, a region extraction part extracts an image of the sky as an image of a target object not included in an object of interest in a moving image of content, on the basis of at least any of changes in pixel values, a frequency at which a line of sight is directed, a distance from a camera, registered information designating the target object, and the like. In the extracted region, a different image presentation part displays an image indicative of a magnified image of a player and character information for cheering as an image different from the sky image.

Abstract: An image processing device acquires a captured image and a depth image. A region dividing section divides the plane of the captured image into regions by determining distance values indicated by the depth image with respect to a preset threshold value (region-divided image). A compressing section generates and outputs data of a captured image having different levels of detail in the respective regions, with respect to the resolution and the number of gradations representing pixel values of the captured image, according to the result of the region division.

Abstract: A line-of-sight direction detection section 32 detects a direction of a line of sight of a user wearing a head-mounted display. A main image generation section 42 generates a first image regarding main content selected by the user as an item to be displayed on the head-mounted display. A display control section 50 causes the head-mounted display to display a second image regarding content different from the main content for promoting recognition of a given thing or service together with the first image. The display control section 50 controls a manner in which the second image is displayed on the head-mounted display in accordance with the direction of the user's line of sight.

The live streaming system 10 generates, as an image to be displayed on the HMD 100 of a certain user of the plurality of users, an image including the content and at least one of a plurality of avatars corresponding to the plurality of users. The live streaming system 10 changes display appearances of the plurality of avatars depending on the types of emotions that the plurality of users are experiencing.
