    Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes a large imaging section, a plurality of small imaging sections, and an image processing section. The plurality of small imaging sections are smaller in optical size than the large imaging section. The large imaging section captures an image of a subject outside the imaging apparatus. The plurality of small imaging sections are provided at positions around the large imaging section to capture images of the subject. The image processing section generates data to be output on the basis of the image captured by the large imaging section and the images captured by the plurality of small imaging sections.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an image processing apparatus including a hand recognizing section configured to recognize a state of a hand of a user, an item image superimposing section configured to superimpose images of items as selection targets attached to the fingers of the hand that are assigned to the items on either an image of the hand being displayed or an image representing the hand being displayed, and a selecting operation detecting section configured to detect that one of the items is selected on the basis of a hand motion performed on the images of the items before performing processing corresponding to the detected selection.

    Abstract: In a pixel 110, a microlens layer 112 includes a microlens for each pixel region. A color filter layer 114 allows passage of light of a given color. A polarizer layer 116 includes a polarizer that allows passage of a polarization component in a given direction in some or all pixel regions and acquires a normal vector of a subject through a detection value thereof. A photoelectric conversion layer 118 includes a plurality of photodiodes in the pixel regions. A distance to a feature point of the subject is acquired through phase difference based on the detection value.
