    摘要: A method for photo-hardening a silicone rubber surface, the method comprising a step (A) in which a surface of a molded silicone rubber is irradiated using, for example, a xenon excimer lamp with vacuum ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 200 nm or less at an irradiation energy in the range of 10-3,000 mJ/cm2, thereby forming an oxide layer in the irradiated portion by photooxidation and thus hardening the portion. According to the method, it is possible to harden the surface of the silicon rubber into a wear-resistant surface without causing a change in gloss and while keeping the rubbery feeling intact. It is also possible to improve the oil infiltration resistance of the rubber.

    摘要: Provided is a polycarbonate resin laminate that is obtained by forming a silicone hard coat layer on a multilayer base, which is obtained by forming and laminating a thermoplastic resin layer having ultraviolet absorbing capability on one surface or both surfaces of a polycarbonate resin layer, by applying a silicone hard coat composition thereto and curing the composition. The silicone hard coat composition contains a core-shell type tetragonal titanium oxide solid solution dispersion that is obtained by dispersing a core-shell type tetragonal titanium oxide solid solution in one or more dispersion media selected from among water, alcohols, ethers, esters and ketones. The core-shell type tetragonal titanium oxide solid solution comprises cores that are formed of tetragonal titanium oxide fine particles, in which atoms of one or more elements selected from among Co, Sn and Mn are solid-solved, and shells that are formed of silicon oxide or aluminum oxide and are arranged outside the cores. The core fine particles have a D50 of 50 nm or less as determined by a dynamic light scattering method using laser light; the core-shell type solid solution has a D50 of 100 nm or less; and the molar ratio of the total moles (M) of solid-solved Co, Sn and Mn relative to titanium, namely the molar ratio Ti/M is 5-1,000.

    摘要: Provided are: a silicone coating composition that can be applied to the surface of a substrate without a primer, that has weather resistance and oxidation resistance, and that can be used to obtain a cured coating that has excellent adhesion, weather-resistant adhesion, interference pattern suppression, scratch resistance, and transparency; and an article that is coated with the silicone coating composition. The silicone coating composition comprises: an aqueous dispersion (A) of a core shell-type tetragonal titanium oxide solid solution that has a core of fine tetragonal titanium oxide particles in which tin and manganese are present in a solid solution and that comprises a shell of silicon oxide on the outside of the core; a polycarbonate and/or polyester urethane-modified vinyl polymer (B); a hydrolysis condensate (C) that is obtained through (co-)hydrolysis and condensation of an alkoxysilane that does not contain sulfur atoms and/or a partial hydrolysis condensate thereof; a curing catalyst (D); a solvent (E); and colloidal silica (F) as necessary. The solid content of the component (B) is 1-30 mass % with respect to the solid content of the entire composition.
