    摘要： A Mobile Station (MS) is operable to select a precoding matrix in a multi-antenna wireless communication system. The method includes receiving, from a serving Base Station (BS), information on a precoding matrix of which use is prohibited and a precoding matrix to be used by a neighbor BS, estimating an interference signal for the precoding matrix to be used by the neighbor BS, and selecting a precoding matrix to be used by the serving BS by considering the estimated interference signal from the remaining precoding matrixes except for the precoding matrix of which use is prohibited among precoding matrixes used by the serving BS.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for call setup in a wireless communication system are provided. A first Mobile Station (MS) determines a DownLink (DL) duration, performs synchronization, selects one preamble code among a preamble code set reserved for the call setup of the MS out of the cell area, and transmits the selected preamble code during the determined DL duration. A second MS scans a preamble code during the DL duration, determines if the scanned preamble code is a preamble code for the call setup of the MS out of the cell area, and transmits a response message to the preamble code to the first MS.

A User Equipment (UE) detects a type of an uplink (UL) grant while it is periodically allocated the UL grant. If there is no data to transmit using the UL grant, the UE determines whether to transmit a padding Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB) using the UL grant according to the type of the UL grant.
