摘要: A method includes performing a downhole operation in a borehole; capturing, during the downhole operation, downhole particles and drilling mud at the surface from the borehole into a screen of at least one shaker; shaking the screen to emit vibrations to separate the downhole particles from the drilling mud; defining a vibration limit for a normal operating condition of the at least one shaker; setting a vibration fault threshold based on the vibration limit for the normal operating condition; monitoring, using at least one sensor, the vibrations over time; and determining there is a fault condition for the shaker, in response to the vibrations exceeding the vibration fault threshold.

摘要: An electro-hydraulic control system for actuating a control valve includes a control module. The control module is coupled to the surface via at least one hydraulic line and two electrical power lines. The control module uses one of the hydraulic lines as a “supply” line and the other line as a “return” line if included. Each hydraulic line of the at least one hydraulic lines can be used as an “open” line or a “close” line to open or close the control valve. The control module includes two normally closed (NC) solenoid valves (SOVs) that are coupled to the electrical power lines and can be controlled from the surface to open or close. The opening or closing of the NC SOVs in cooperation with hydraulic pressure on a “supply” line of the hydraulic lines operates (i.e., closes or opens) the control valve.

摘要: A cross sectional representation of a geological surface is displayed on a display screen. A segment of the cross-sectional representation is edited, and a pseudo log of formation properties based on the edited segment is displayed on the display screen. A determination is made whether formation properties associated with the pseudo log match actual formation properties measured during drilling of a well and a signal is output indicative of the match. A drill operator may use a structural model determined based on the edited geological surface to drill for hydrocarbons in the formation.

摘要: A method includes positioning a downhole tool in a borehole formed in a subsurface formation, wherein the downhole tool comprises a plurality of calipers arranged around a circumference of the downhole tool. The method includes detecting, using the plurality of calipers, a plurality of standoff measurements at different rotation angles and determining a plurality of apparent diameters of the borehole for the different rotation angles of the downhole tool based on the plurality of standoff measurements and at least one of a radius and a diameter of the downhole tool. The method includes determining a probability function based on the plurality of apparent diameters and determining a shape of the borehole based on the probability function.

摘要: Through-tubing, cased-hole sealed material density can be evaluated using gamma ray measurements. Density evaluation comprises detecting, by at least one detector positioned within a casing of a wellbore including a sealing material positioned between the casing and a subsurface formation, electromagnetic radiation generated in response to nuclear radiation being emitted outward toward the subsurface formation, determining an electromagnetic radiation count based on the detected electromagnetic radiation, selecting at least one of a first reference material having a density that is less than a density of the sealing material and a second reference material having a density that is greater than the density of the sealing material, adjusting the electromagnetic radiation count based on the density of the at least one of the first reference material and the second reference material, and determining a density of the sealing material based on the adjusted electromagnetic radiation count.

摘要: A method for evaluating a sealing material positioned between a casing of a wellbore and a subsurface formation in which the wellbore is formed includes emitting an acoustic waveform outward from a position within the casing and detecting a return waveform that is generated in response to the acoustic waveform interacting with a region of interest that includes at least a portion of the sealing material. The method includes determining a first time window of the return waveform associated with the region of interest and trimming the return waveform based on the first time window. The method further includes determining a first spectral power density for the first time window of the trimmed return waveform and determining a composition ratio for the region of interest based on the first spectral power density.

Selecting the model includes determining a flux ratio of a convection rate to a diffusion rate for the reservoir, determining whether the flux ratio is less than a threshold, and in response to the flux ratio being less than the threshold, selecting the model that includes diffusion. Selecting the model includes performing the simulation of the hydrocarbon recovery from the reservoir based on the model.
