Abstract: A bonded body includes a supporting substrate, a silicon oxide layer provided on the supporting substrate, and a piezoelectric material substrate provided on the silicon oxide layer and composed of a material selected from the group consisting of lithium niobate, lithium tantalate and lithium niobate-lithium tantalate. Abstract: The development of lead-free high performing novel piezoelectric materials could allow for lightweight and non-toxic piezoelectric energy harvesters. Herein, is disclosed novel organic-inorganic hybrid metalates (OIHM) incorporating histammonium salts of HistammoniumMXn, with M being a metal and X being a halide. Composites with non-reactive polymer composites such as polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) displayed exhibit excellent flexibility and promising unpoled piezoelectric coefficients.

Abstract: Provided are a piezoelectric ceramics which does not contain lead, has small temperature dependence of a piezoelectric constant within an operating temperature range, and has high density, a high mechanical quality factor, a satisfactory piezoelectric constant, and a small surface roughness, and a method of manufacturing the piezoelectric ceramics. The method of manufacturing a piezoelectric ceramics is characterized by including: sintering a compact containing a raw material at 1,000° C. or more to obtain a sintered compact; abrading the sintered compact; and annealing the abraded sintered compact at a temperature of 800° C. or more and less than 1,000° C.

Abstract: A RF antenna having a magnetostrictive film may be made by patterning selected portions of a top surface of the quartz wafer for deposition of electrode metal and deposition of the magnetostrictive film and depositing the electrode metal and the magnetostrictive film; temporarily bonding the quartz wafer to a handle wafer; thinning the quartz wafer to a desired thickness; etching the quartz wafer to define the outlines of at least one quartz resonator bearing the electrode metal and the magnetostrictive film; patterning selected portions of a bottom surface the at least one quartz resonator for deposition of electrode metal and at least one bond pad and depositing the electrode metal and the at least one bond pad; bonding the at least one quartz resonator to a substrate wafer; and releasing the at least one quartz resonator from the handle wafer.
