Abstract: Ship structural ultimate bearing analysis and design research is involved. A method for implementing ultimate strength analysis of plate frame structure based on isogeometric analysis includes the following steps: according to the plate frame structure, constructing an IGA model, wherein the IGA model comprises several plane shell elements; carrying out a coordinate transformation on the plane shell elements; carrying out a weak coupling on boundaries of transformed plane shell elements by Nitsche method and carrying out a mesh refinement; setting material properties, loads and boundary conditions of refined plane shell elements, and constructing a nonlinear equation according to setting results; and solving the nonlinear equation by Newton-Raphson iteration method, and carrying out a simulation analysis by NX software to obtain an ultimate strength of the plate frame structure.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for real-time simulation of the operation of a specific electric motor by a simulator arithmetic unit comprising a programmable logic device on which a generic motor model is implemented. The method includes: providing a generic system of equations corresponding to the generic motor model; receiving specific information corresponding to the specific motor to be simulated for the generic system of equations and inputting this information into the generic system of equations; generating a specific library containing at least some of the arithmetic operations required for the matrix operations for calculating the operation of the specific motor; implementing references in the generic motor model to the arithmetic operations of the specific library required for real-time simulation of the operation of the specific electric motor; and simulating the operation of the specific electric motor by running the generic motor model on the simulator arithmetic unit.

Abstract: Techniques for simulating fluid flow on a computer that involve a stable entropy solver are described. The techniques include simulating activity of a fluid across a mesh, the activity of the fluid being simulated so as to model movement of particles across the mesh, storing, in a computer accessible memory, a set of state vectors for each mesh location in the mesh, each of the state vectors comprising a plurality of entries that correspond to particular momentum states of possible momentum states at a corresponding mesh location, simulating a time evolution of entropy of the flow by collecting incoming set of distributions from neighboring mesh locations for the collision operation, calculating by the computer scalar values in each location, determining outgoing distributions as a product of the collision operation and addition of a heat source, and modifying the flow by the computer performing for a time interval, an advection of the particles to subsequent mesh locations.

Abstract: A graphics processing unit (GPU)-based numerical simulation system and method for a helicopter flow field (FF). The GPU-based system includes a central processing unit (CPU) and a GPU. The CPU is configured to initialize a moving overset grid according to a preset configuration file and the mesh files of a to-be-simulated helicopter; determine face batch information according to mesh blocks in the moving overset grid; determine an overset interpolation relationship between the mesh blocks and an interpolation mapping index according to the mesh files at a current simulation moment; and perform FF information exchanging between the mesh blocks according to the overset interpolation relationship, the interpolation mapping index, and FF information of the mesh blocks, to obtain to-be-simulated helicopter FF information. The GPU computes the FF information of the mesh blocks in the motion nested mesh according to surface batch information by using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method.

Abstract: A method for numerical reconstruction and heat transfer characteristics evaluation of a microstructure of thermal barrier coatings containing microcracks includes the following steps: determining a simulation area and size settings, generating random microcracks with different morphological characteristics and placing the microcracks in the simulation area, and determining whether a space occupied by the microcracks reaches a porosity ratio of the preset microcracks, building a general pore model of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) based on the QSGS method, reconstructing true mesoscopic morphologies of the TBCs, determining whether the preset volume fraction has been reached, and building a heat transfer analysis model based on the thermal Lattice Boltzmann method to calculate heat insulation performance parameters such as temperature distribution, and thermal conductivity. Compared with the prior art, the heat transfer analysis model can restore a mesoscopic structure of the coating more truly and effectively.
