Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating at a cell not supporting an extended discontinuous reception (eDRX) in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) verifies whether or not a serving cell supports eDRX. If it is determined that the serving cell does not support eDRX, the UE may trigger a tracking area update (TAU). Further, the UE may applying normal DRX cycle at the serving cell and not performing eDRX for a paging reception.

Abstract: The present invention establishes a plurality of packet data network (PDN) connections in a user apparatus by coordinated selected IP traffic offload (CSIPTO). The present invention achieves this by receiving, from a network entity responsible for a control plane, an indication for a gateway rearrangement arising from CSIPTO. A determination is then made as to whether to maintain a previously established first PDN connection on the basis of the indication and establishing a second PDN connection on the basis of the indication. Then, if the previously established first PDN connection is to be maintained, marking one or both of the first PDN connection and the second PDN connection.

Abstract: A disclosure of the present specification provides a method for establishing a packer data network (PDN) connection by a user equipment (UE). The method may comprise the steps of: transmitting a session initiation protocol (SIP)-based request message for requesting sending of a voice over LTE (VoLTE) call through a first type PDN connection; receiving, from a network node, a message including information directly or indirectly indicating that there is a problem in the first type PDN connection, instead of a normal response message to the SIP-based request message; determining to change the PDN type from the first type to a second type, on the basis of the information in the received message; and transmitting, to a mobility management entity (MME), a PDN connection request message including information on the changed second type.

The method can comprise the steps of: determining WLAN offloadability for the specific PDN connection on the basis of the WLAN offloadability indication and configuration information; transmitting the WLAN offloadability indication to network nodes according to the determination; and transmitting the WLAN offloadability indication to the UE according to the determination.
