Abstract:
The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The apparatus receives a transmission of at least one of a plurality of first synchronization signals. The apparatus receives at least one repeat transmission of the at least one of the plurality of first synchronization signals. In an aspect, the transmission and the at least one repeat transmission are received in a same synchronization signal block.
Abstract:
Disclosed in this application are techniques to enabling and employing bandwidth agnostic tone mapping. Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for mapping coded bits of a broadcast channel to tones of a symbol. Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for mapping bits of a beamformed reference signal (BRS) signal to tones of a symbol. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
A first apparatus may communicate with a user equipment through a first active beam. The first apparatus may determine that beam tracking is to be performed with the UE, including identifying a new beam for communication between the UE and the apparatus. The first apparatus may perform beam tracking with the UE based on the determination that beam tracking is to be performed. The first apparatus may communicate with the UE through a second active beam based on the beam tracking.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for generating synchronization signals for cell synchronization. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication. The method generally includes determining a symbol index for transmitting a sequence; determining an amount of cyclical shift in one of a frequency domain and a time domain to apply to the sequence, wherein the amount of cyclical shift in the frequency domain is based on the sequence and the symbol index; shifting the sequence by the amount of cyclical shift; and transmitting the shifted sequence in a symbol corresponding to the symbol index.
Abstract:
A procedure to select a UE as a relay between a machine-type communication (MTC) device and a base station is desired to improve communication between the MTC device and the base station. The apparatus may be a machine-type communication user equipment (M-UE). The apparatus transmits, to one or more user equipments (UEs), an access request to request access to a base station through one or more of the one or more UEs as a relay. The apparatus receives an access request response from the base station, the access request response including selection information about selection of at least one of the one or more UEs as a relay between the M-UE and the base station.
Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) may be outside of the coverage area of a base station or other access point, which may impede access by the UE of a core network, server, or the like. Therefore, a UE may establish a relay connection to access resources when the UE is outside of a coverage area provided by a base station or access point. In aspects, an apparatus may be configured to transmit, to a set of relay UEs, a first message associated with establishment of a relay connection. The apparatus may be further configured to receive a set of messages from the set of relay UEs. The apparatus may be further configured to establish the relay connection with a first relay UE of the set of relay UEs based on a message of the set of messages from the first relay UE.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines a subset of subchannels for a first cell, the subset of subchannels configured to reduce interference to at least a second UE in a second cell, determines whether a first UE in the first cell is interfering with a second UE in a second cell, and allocates at least one subchannel to the first UE from the subset of subchannels when the first UE in the first cell is interfering with the second UE in the second cell.
