Abstract:
One or more systems and/or techniques for generating a combined advertisement are described herein. A primary advertisement associated with a primary advertiser may be accessed. A primary attribute for the primary advertisement may be defined (e.g., a car advertisement may target teenage boys). A first spot advertisement associated with a first advertiser may be selected based upon the primary attribute of the primary advertisement (e.g., a car tuning advertisement that also targets teenage boys). A combined advertisement may be generated based upon the first spot advertisement and the primary advertisement. In an example, the combined advertisement may be displayed to a consumer based upon a determination that the consumer corresponds to the primary attribute (e.g., a teenage boy visiting a website). In this way, multiple advertisements (e.g., having similar attributes/goals) may be provided through a single combined advertisement.
Abstract:
Described herein are solutions for improving management of viewable impression based display advertising systems. For example, described herein are solutions for improving management of viewable impression based display advertising systems amongst various online marketing channels, such as search engine and guaranteed display advertising (GDA) marketing channels. The solutions can include use of a legacy GDA system and a score (e.g., a ratio) to bridge viewable impression based control and pricing and regular impression based control and pricing.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a system to validate information about a user, or users, derived from publicly-accessible data. The system comprises a validation system that uses private data about the user to validate the user information derived from the publicly-accessible data. The validation system may receive a validation request in connection with an inconclusive result derived from the publicly-accessible data.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a portion of a search query may be obtained from a client device. A set of suggested search queries may be obtained or generated from a plurality of phrases stored in memory, where the portion of the search query matches a portion of each suggested search query in the set of suggested search queries. The set of suggested search queries may be provided to the client device. The plurality of phrases may include phrases extracted from documents published via a network.
Abstract:
The present teaching relates to concurrency control in log-structured merge (LSM) data stores. In one example, a call is received from a thread for writing a value to a key of LSM components. A shared mode lock is set on the LSM components in response to the call. The value is written to the key once the shared mode lock is set on the LSM components. The shared mode lock is released from the LSM components after the value is written to the key.
Abstract:
The present teaching relates to providing structured text. In one example, a document is obtained. One or more keywords are identified in the document. One or more topics are determined based on the one or more keywords. Each of the one or more topics is related to at least one of the one or more keywords residing in one or more portions of the document. A snippet is generated for each of the portions associated with a corresponding topic based on content in the portion of the document.
Abstract:
An optimization-based framework is utilized to extract broad query aspects from query reformulations performed by users in historical user session logs. Objective functions are optimized to yield query aspects. At run-time, the best broad but unspecified query aspects relevant to any user query are presented along with the results of the run time query.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, an indication of a request pertaining to a user account is obtained, where the user account is associated with at least one user. An account type of the user account is determined, where the account type is one of two or more account types. One or more actions indicated by the request are performed based, at least in part, upon the account type.
Abstract:
A system and method for driver-aware notification that collects and analyzes contextual information about the driving environment to free a device owner from having to decide whether or not to answer an incoming message.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and method for obtaining ad-hoc the spatial layout and setup of installed radio-based indoor tracking systems at particular locations. The systems and methods can be implemented via an installed or web-based application that performs the ad-hoc detection of indoor beacons, which includes detecting the signal strength of all beacons at a location while the user performs a previously configured gesture. From the trajectory of the gesture and the recorded signal strengths, the disclosed systems and methods derive the distance and direction of all beacons, which are laid out in a 2D map. Thus, the present disclosure can implicitly calibrate signal strengths to high-accuracy distances, thereby producing the spatially accurate 2D setup of the previously unknown space, in addition to indoor tracking on a decimeter level, which is efficient and increasingly cost effective for device tracking and advertising purposes.
