Abstract: Various additional and alternative aspects are described herein. In some aspects, the present disclosure provides a method of communication by an apparatus. The method includes selecting one or more resources for transmitting data of a first data stream based on an acyclic graph. The selected resources conform to the acyclic graph comprising data streams at odd levels of the acyclic graph and resources at even levels of the acyclic graph. The acyclic graph includes edges between each level of the acyclic graph. The edges connect the resources allocated to each data stream. The method further includes transmitting the data of the first data stream on the selected one or more resources.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to performing hybrid grant-free and grant-based uplink (UL) data transmission. A wireless communication device dynamically selects between a grant-free mode and a grant-based mode based on at least a transmission configuration. The wireless communication device sends a first data packet in the grant-free mode, based on the selecting, using a first UL resource. The wireless communication device sends a second data packet in the grant-based mode, based on the selecting, using a second UL resource allocated to the wireless communication device. Abstract: Mobile originated and terminated data transmissions are discussed. Communication devices such as user equipment (UE) can be dynamically configured by a network to send and receive data. When a UE connects to a new network, the network can determine mobility of the UE and/or the network resource allocation granularity. Based at least on the network's determinations, the UE can be configured such that access data having a comparatively long life span is used and reused for multiple data transmissions. In some scenarios, access data can be refreshed after expiration of a period of time. Refresh time can be equal to expected life span of reusable access data. After UE configuration, the UE performs mobile originated and terminated data transmissions according to the configuration. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide for a network assisted grantless data transmission method operable in a wireless communication network. A wireless device may transmit grantless data without requesting a scheduling entity to grant and schedule network resources prior to the grantless data transmission. A receiving device may receive a transmission in the transmission time interval (TTI), the transmission may include one or a plurality of symbols. The receiving device may send an acknowledgement message to the sending device on the uplink acknowledgement channel according to the uplink acknowledgement channel configuration.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may map a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence to a first symbol in a set of resource blocks (RBs) of an uplink long burst, and the first symbol may occur at the beginning of the uplink long burst. The DMRS sequence may be “front-loaded” in the uplink long burst. The DMRS sequence may be dependent upon RB locations. When the DMRS sequence is mapped to the beginning of an uplink long burst, uplink control information (UCI) may be mapped in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). A UE may map UCI in a PUSCH after the DMRS sequence is mapped to the beginning of the uplink long burst. When the base station receives an uplink long burst including the front-loaded DMRS and the UCI mapped in the PUSCH, the base station may identify the DMRS for channel estimation/interference cancelation of the UCI carried on the PUSCH.
