Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting a local gateway (L-GW) service in a wireless communication system is provided. When an L-GW is co-located with a master evolved NodeB (MeNB) in dual connectivity, a secondary evolved NodeB (SeNB) in dual connectivity receives a request message including information on a specific E-UTRAN radio access bearer (E-RAB), which is served by a L-GW, from a master evolved NodeB (MeNB) in dual connectivity which has the L-GW, decides to transmit data via a X2 interface instead of a S1-U interface for the specific E-RAB, and transmits a response message to the MeNB.

Abstract: In an inter-master eNB (MeNB) handover procedure without secondary eNB (SeNB) change, a user equipment (UE) receives a SeNB kept indicator indicating that a SeNB has been kept successfully from a source MeNB. Upon receiving the SeNB kept indicator, the UE determines that the SeNB has been kept successfully in the inter-MeNB handover without SeNB change, and skips the random access procedure to the SeNB.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing an inter-master eNodeB (MeNB) handover procedure without secondary eNB (SeNB) change in a wireless communication system is provided. A source MeNB transmits a handover request message including a first indication of a SeNB to a target MeNB. The first indication may correspond to a SeNB identifier (ID). Upon receiving the handover request message including the first indication, the target MeNB transmits a SeNB addition request message including a second indication of a UE, served by the SeNB, to the SeNB. The second indication may correspond to an old SeNB UE X2AP ID, which was allocated by the SeNB. Upon receiving the SeNB addition request message including the second indication, the SeNB may transmit a SeNB addition acknowledge message including a third indication of keeping bearers of the SeNB from the SeNB.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a cause value related to a small cell in a wireless communication system is provided. An evolved NodeB (eNB) of a small cell receives a request message form a macro cell, and as a response to the request message, transmits to the macro cell a failure message including a cause value related to the small cell. The cause value related to the small cell can indicate the reason why the small cell which is in an “off” state cannot shift to an “on” state, and the failure message can be any one of a handover preparation failure message, a cell activation failure message, or a secondary evolved NodeB (SeNB) addition failure message.
