Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data packet transmission method and a device, which relate to the communications field, so as to reduce a storage burden on a base station in a data transmission process. The method includes: acquiring, by a base station that serves a UE, instruction information of a small data packet; and after receiving a radio resource control message sent from the UE, acquiring, by the base station that serves the UE, the small data packet from a core network device according to the instruction information of the small data packet, and sending the small data packet to the UE. The embodiments of the present invention are used for data packet transmission.

Abstract: The present application discloses a method and eNB equipment for supporting seamless handover. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving, by a target eNB, random access information or an RRC connection reconfiguration completion message from a UE; transmitting, by the target eNB, a data transmission stopping indication message to a source eNB; and, stopping, by the source eNB, transmitting downlink data to the UE, and/or stopping, by the source eNB, receiving uplink data from the UE. The present invention further provides several other methods and eNB equipments for supporting seamless handover. By the methods for supporting seamless handover provided by the present invention, the delay of data transmission and the unnecessary data transmission or unnecessary data monitoring of a source eNB can be avoided, the waste of resources and the power consumption can be reduced, and the missing and duplication transmission of data can be avoided.

Abstract: A method for localizing a voice call is disclosed, comprising: receiving an originating leg setup message for an originating leg bearer from the first base station for a first user equipment (UE); creating a first call correlation identifier and storing the first call correlation identifier in association with the first UE; extracting a second call correlation identifier from a terminating leg setup message for a terminating leg bearer received from the core network; determining a real time protocol (RTP) localization status for the originating leg bearer and the terminating leg bearer based on matching the second call correlation identifier of the terminating leg against the stored first call correlation identifier of the originating leg; and sending transport layer assignment messages to the first base station to redirect RTP packets from the first UE to the second UE via the terminating leg bearer without the RTP packets transiting the core network.

Abstract: Techniques for sending packets and maintaining synchronization during handover is described. A user equipment (UE) may be handed over from a source base station to a target base station. The source base station may forward packets for the UE to the target base station, which may receive the packets out of order. In one design, the target base station may determine whether each packet can be sent in order to the UE, send the packet if it can be sent in order, and discard the packet otherwise. In another design, the target base station may re-order packets received within a re-ordering window and may send the re-ordered packets to the UE. In yet another design, the target base station may process each packet received out of order as if the packet is in order, e.g., by incrementing a hyper-frame number (HFN) or re-assigning the packet with a later sequence number.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a data communication method and a device, to resolve a prior-art problem of a high latency for switching a terminal device from an idle mode to a connected mode. The method includes: prestoring, by a terminal device, a TA indication list of a group of cells; performing, by the terminal device, cell selection or reselection, and obtaining a cell identity of a cell obtained after the selection or reselection; querying, by the terminal device based on the cell identity, the TA indication list of the group of cells for a TA value corresponding to the cell identity; and if the terminal device successfully finds, in the TA indication list of the group of cells, the TA value corresponding to the cell identity, sending, by the terminal device, an uplink Radio Resource Control (RRC) message in a random access-free manner.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for non-access stratum (NAS) message processing during handover in an evolved network are provided. The method includes the following steps. An evolved packet core (EPC) receives a message which indicates that a UE is being handed over sent by a source evolved NodeB (S-eNB), and stops sending an NAS message to the UE temporarily. The EPC receives a message which indicates that the UE returns to an S-eNB service area sent by the S-eNB. The EPC sends the NAS message to the UE through the S-eNB, if needed. With the method and the apparatus, the EPC can acquire a location of the UE in time in the case of a handover failure of the UE, a time limit of a retransmission timer is set precisely, and a specific implementation for forwarding an NAS message through an X2 interface is provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for group communication. In more detail, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for allowing a terminal to participate in group communication effectively on the move, and a communication method of a base station in a mobile communication system according to the present invention includes receiving Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) bearer information including a QoS parameter from a Multi-cell/multicast Coordination Entity (MCE); updating bearer information for a terminal using the received MBMS bearer information; making a handover decision of the terminal and transmitting a handover request message including the MBMS bearer information to a Mobility Management Entity (MME) or a second base station which does not support MBMS; transmitting a handover command message from the second base station to the terminal; and forwarding MBMS data to the second base station during a predetermined period. The group communication service reception method and apparatus of the present invention is advantageous in that a terminal participated in group communication is capable of receiving the group communication service seamlessly, even when the terminal enters an area not supporting MBMS, by switching the communication path to a Point-To-Point (PTP) communication path quickly.
