    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for on-demand sensing based on sidelink resource reevaluation are disclosed herein. An example method of wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) includes selecting first sidelink resources for one or more transmissions based on partial sensing or resource selection independent of a sensing operation. The example method also includes receiving, over a sidelink channel, a resource reservation from a second UE, the resource reservation indicating reservation of resources overlapping with at least a portion of the first sidelink resources of the first UE. The example method also includes performing a resource reevaluation for one or more slots when the resource reservation indicates the reservation of resources overlapping with the at least a portion of the first sidelink resources of the first UE. The example method also includes selecting second sidelink resources for the one or more transmissions based on the resource reevaluation.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for beam training resource selection by a sidelink UE. A first UE may determine to perform beam training with a second UE in a set of beam training resources. The set of beam training resources may include a first subset of beam training resources for UEs without a RRC connection and a second subset of beam training resources for UEs with a RRC connection, where the first subset of beam training resources and the second subset of beam training resources are non-overlapping. The first UE may determine whether the first UE is RRC connected with the second UE and perform beam training in one of the first subset of beam training resources or the second subset of beam training resources based on whether the first UE is RRC connected with the second UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit compressed bitmap(s) to indicate preferred or non-preferred sidelink resources. A first UE may monitor a set of sidelink resources including a set of slots and subchannels for the slots and determine which resources are available for communications for a second UE. In some examples, the first UE may generate a bitmap indicating which slots have at least one subchannel that is unavailable, and, for each slot having at least one subchannel that is unavailable, a bitmap indicating which subchannels are unavailable for that slot. The first UE may transmit the bitmaps to the second UE. In some examples, the first UE may generate a bitmap indicating which slots have at least one subchannel that is available, and, for each slot having at least one subchannel that is available, a bitmap indicating which subchannels are available.

    Abstract: A first UE may determine to communicate with a second UE, but may maintain or establish a RRC connection with a third UE upon determining that potential interference may occur between the first UE and the third UE. The potential inference may be a received interference in which the first UE receives interference from the third UE as a result of a communication between the third UE and a fourth UE, or a transmitted interference in which the first UE causes interference to the third UE as a result of a communication between the first UE and the second UE.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from another UE, a coordination message that includes resource information (e.g., a preference status) for communication resources. The UE receiving the coordination message may determine a status of one or more resources based on the resource information, an intended recipient of the coordination message (e.g., based on a destination identifier of the coordination message), or a communication connection associated with the one or more resources. The status may indicate that a respective resource of the one or more resources is available, reserved, preferred, or non-preferred, or some combination thereof. In some examples, the one or more resources may be for a sidelink connection or a unicast connection. The receiving UE may utilize the determined status to select one or more resources for a sidelink transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for regulating a size of a resource information forwarding message to balance the overhead associated with transmitting the resource information forwarding message with the usefulness of the resource information forwarding message. A first user equipment (UE) may receive a sidelink control information (SCI) message from a third UE indicating resources reserved by the third UE, and it may be appropriate for the first UE to transmit a resource information forwarding message to a second UE indicating the resources reserved by the third UE. As such, the first UE may determine a maximum size of the resource information forwarding message, and the first UE may generate and transmit the resource information forwarding message to the second UE in accordance with the determined maximum size.
