Abstract: Certain aspects relate to techniques for z-axis rotation estimation for compensating signaling transmitted between two or more nodes over a wireless channel where an antenna array of at least one of the nodes is misaligned about the z-axis relative to another node. For example, a transmitting node may transmit pilot signals defined by phase shifts to provide a receiving node with a basis for estimating the angle of rotation by which the antenna arrays are misaligned. The transmitting node may then take remedial action to address the misalignment based on the estimation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for performing initial access procedures including transmitting or receiving synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) based on a capability of a user equipment (UE) to use reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs). In some examples, a base station may transmit SSBs using two synchronization raster grids. For example, the base station may transmit SSBs on a first synchronization raster grid for UEs that do not support RISs and on a second synchronization raster grid for UEs that support RISs. In some examples, a base station may transmit different types of SSBs. For example, a base station may transmit a first type of SSB for UEs that do not support RISs and a second type of SSB for UEs that support RISs. A UE may search for and receive SSBs according to a capability of the UE.

Abstract: Disclosed are various techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a base station calculates statistics of one or more time-angle metrics based on a signal received from a user equipment, and reports the statistics to a network entity, such as a location server, which uses the statistics to estimate a position of the UE. In some aspects, the network entity receives statistics from multiple base stations, which allows the network entity to more accurately determine the position of the UE. In some aspects, the base station reports the statistics to a network entity according to a statistics reporting configuration, which the network entity may provide to the base station.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving different sets of parameters from different sources as input to a receiver neural network. The method also includes receiving, from a base station, a set of target long-term energy values associated with the receiver neural network. The method further includes calculating a scaling factor for each of the different sets of parameters based on the set of target long-term energy values, and separately scaling each of the different sets of parameters based on the scaling factor calculated for that set in order to generate multiple sets of scaled parameters. The method still further includes transmitting the multiple sets of scaled parameters to the receiver neural network.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The apparatus may receive from a second device a first data packet in one or more receiving slots of a time division duplex frame that includes a plurality of slots. The apparatus may determine whether the first data packet is received incorrectly. The apparatus may wait until the end of the one or more receiving slots and may transmit to the second device a first NACK in a NACK feedback symbol in a configured slot after the end of the one or more receiving slots in response to determining that the first data packet was not received correctly.

Abstract: A second base station may allocate a set of downlink resources for a downlink transmission. The set of downlink resources may include a subset of null resources, which may serve as a signature for the second base station. The second base station may transmit downlink data or reference signals on the set of downlink resources including the subset of null resources. A first UE may experience the downlink transmission from the second base station as interference. The first UE may identify the set of downlink resources. The first UE may identify the subset of null resources. The first UE may transmit, to a first base station, an indication of the subset of null resources. The first base station may identify the second base station based on the indication of the subset of null resources. The first base station may transmit, to the second base station, an interference coordination message.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for determining round-trip times (RTTs) between a user equipment (UE) and multiple base stations. In an aspect, the UE transmits an RTT measurement signal whose arrival time is measured by each of the base stations, and each of the base stations returns an RTT response signal whose arrival times are measured by the UE. In another aspect, the base stations each transmit an RTT measurement signal and the UE returns an RTT response signal. The receiver of the RTT measurement signal may include the measured arrival time in a payload of the RTT Response signal. Alternatively, the measured arrival time(s) of the RTT Measurement signal(s) and the transmission time(s) of the RTT Response signal(s) are sent in a separate message. The RTT signals can be wideband signals using low reuse resources.
