    Abstract: A base station may select at least one of one or more 2D beams for at least one first SSB of a plurality of SSBs or one or more 3D beams for at least one second SSB of the plurality of SSBs. A UE may identify a beam type of at least one of one or more 2D beams for at least one first SSB of a plurality of SSBs or one or more 3D beams for at least one second SSB of the plurality of SSBs. The base station may transmit, to the UE, at least one of the at least one first SSB via the one or more 2D beams or the at least one second SSB via the one or more 3D beams.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by an apparatus. A method includes sending signaling indicative of one or more power ratios, wherein each of the one or more power ratios is based on a transmit power for transmitting sounding reference signal (SRS) using a corresponding antenna and a receive power for receiving channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) using the corresponding antenna, and wherein the one or more power ratios are associated with one or more antennas; sending a first CSI-RS; receiving a first SRS; receiving first channel state feedback (CSF) corresponding to the CSI-RS; and performing channel estimation based on the first CSF and the first SRS.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device may include reflective elements and may reflect signals between a second and third device using the reflective elements. In some cases, the first device may receive signaling from the second device indicating a first subset of the reflective elements corresponding to a first phase configuration and a second subset of the reflective elements corresponding to a second phase configuration. In some other cases, the first device may receive signaling indicating a transmission beam of the second device. Here, the first device may identify the first and second subsets of the reflective elements based on an angle of arrival and departure associated with the indicated transmission beam. In either case, the first device may set the phase configurations of the reflective elements according to the first and second subsets.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to indicate a single frequency network (SFN) mode and associated composite channel reference signals to a user equipment (UE). A UE and a base station may communicate via two or more transmission and reception points (TRPs) using an SFN transmission, which may represent a transmission having multiple beam configurations. The base station may transmit a configuration associated with a control channel that explicitly or implicitly indicates whether control channel transmissions are associated with an SFN mode or are configured with multiple candidate beam configurations. The base station may transmit an indication of activated beam configurations for the control channel. The UE may receive one or more reference signals from each TRP and, based on the SFN indication, may use information from the one or more reference signals to receive the control channel transmission.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for radio frequency (RF) sensing by a base station operating in a time division duplex (TDD) mode and having a first antenna panel and a second antenna panel. The base station performs RF sensing and DL communication in a first sensing and DL communication mode in which the first antenna panel transmits DL symbols and the second antenna panel receives, as RF sensing signals, reflections of the DL symbols transmitted by the first antenna panel. The base station also performs RF sensing and DL communication in a second sensing and DL communication mode in which the second antenna panel transmits DL symbols and the first antenna panel receives, as RF sensing signals, reflections of the DL symbols transmitted by the second antenna panel. In some aspects, a characteristic of the channel is determined based on transmissions in both the first and second sensing and DL communications modes.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support orbital angular momentum (OAM) communications between a transmitting device and a receiving device. The transmitting device may generate signals for transmission to the receiving device via a transmitter circle that includes a first quantity of antenna arrays. The transmitting device may transmit the signals using the transmitter circle based on multiple sets of OAM weights, where each signal may be associated with a respective set of OAM weights. The receiving device may receive the signals using a receiver circle that includes a second quantity of antenna arrays that is different than the first quantity. The receiving device may decode the signals based on multiple sets of OAM weights. The sets of OAM weights at the transmitting device and the receiving device may be based on the first quantity being different than the second quantity.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for channel state information (CSI) report structure for dynamic antenna port adaptation. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may support a CSI report configuration according to which the UE may include a respective set of CSI parameters for each of multiple codebooks. For example, the UE may compute a respective set of CSI parameters for each of multiple codebooks in accordance with a CSI report configuration and may transmit a CSI report including the respective sets of CSI parameters for each of the multiple codebooks. The network entity may use the respective sets of CSI parameters for each of the multiple codebooks to inform a dynamic antenna panel configuration update at the network entity.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a base station to provide CSI report configurations and a UE to provide CSI reports in response to such configurations which account for a power savings mode of the base station. While in the power savings mode, the base station may deactivate one or more of its antenna panels or sub-panels to reduce energy expenditure, for example, while performing dynamic antenna port adaptation. To account for this antenna port deactivation, the base station may send a CSI report configuration to a UE including one or more measurement resource sets associated with the power savings mode. The UE may obtain the CSI report configuration and send a CSI report to the base station in response to a CSI measurement in the one or more measurement resource sets.
