Abstract:
In a method of providing video-call service using a general voice-call terminal and a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) for performing the method, the following steps or functions are performed: exchanging, at a PBX, video media information with a video-support adaptor for providing video-call service to a voice-call terminal; and exchanging, at the PBX, moving picture media information to be used by the voice-call terminal and the video-support adaptor with a counterpart video-call terminal so as to establish a session between the video-support adaptor and the counterpart video-call terminal. The PBX includes a call processor and a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) agent. It is possible to provide video-call service between a conventional terminal not having a video screen and various videophone apparatuses by interworking the conventional terminal with SIP-based video software or hardware.
Abstract:
Systems, devices and methods are described including determining an inter-view coding mode for at least a portion of an image frame, specifying a corresponding value of an inter-view coding mode indicator, and providing the mode indicator in a bitstream that includes an encoded motion vector associated with the image frame portion. A first value of the mode indicator corresponds to a first inter-view coding mode where the encoded motion vector includes components in multiple dimensions. A second value of the mode indicator corresponds to a second inter-view coding mode where the encoded motion vector components include components in only one dimension.
Abstract:
A touch screen module which includes an LCD panel working as a touch screen, a protector window disposed over the LCD panel, and an adhesive to affix the protector window to the LCD panel. The LCD panel may be a hybrid Touch Screen Pad (hTSP) type touch screen and have a first substrate comprising a first surface on which a plurality of switching elements are formed, a second substrate comprising a second surface that faces the first surface, and liquid crystal material disposed between the first surface and the second surface. The protector window may have a plurality of pressing patterns on a third surface facing the second substrate. In operation, pressure from a touch applied to the protector window engages the pressing patterns against the second substrate, transferring touch pressure to the second substrate as well.
Abstract:
Systems, apparatus and methods are described including determining a first value by reducing a bit-length of a reference pixel value and adding a first predetermined value to the result and determining a second value by subtracting a residual pixel value from a current pixel value to generate a difference value, reducing a bit-length of the difference value and adding the first predetermined value to the result. The range of the second value may then be clipped by setting the second value to zero when the second value is equal to or less than a second predetermined value and setting the second value to a third predetermined value when the second value is equal to or greater than a fourth predetermined value. The first value and the second value may then be used for inter-layer residual prediction in Scalable Video Coding (SVC) systems.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and computer program products to increase the efficiency of a trancoding system by providing additional data from a video processor to an encoder, and by providing control signals from the encoder back to the video processor. The video processor may provide variances to the encoder, where these values would not otherwise be available to the encoder or would be computationally intensive for the encoder to generate on its own. The encoder may then use these variances to generate encoded, compressed video data more efficiently. The encoder may also generate control signals for use by the video processor, enabling the video processor to adapt to reconfigurations of the encoder, thereby improving the efficiency of the transcoding operation.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a hydraulic pressure control device of a variable displacement type hydraulic pump for construction equipment, wherein operable sections of operation systems are formed in a wide manner while the hydraulic pump discharges a relatively small flow rate compared with the operation amount of the respective operation systems in the case of complex operations, so as to improve the pressure loss and the fuel ratio of the hydraulic pump. The device includes a flow rate controller, which is preferably connected to an operation amount detecting means and a swash plate control device, and receives operation signals from the operation system of a control device that are detected by the operation amount detecting means so as to control the discharge flow rate of the hydraulic pump. In the case of the complex operations, the flow rate controller pre-determines the required flow rate of an actuator for the respective operation systems via the operation signals of the operation systems and subsequently operates the square root of the sum of the squares of the respective required flow rates so as to determine the discharge flow rate of the hydraulic pump, thereby controlling the swash plate control device.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing semiconductor devices is disclosed. The method includes determining fractured shots that do not overlap each other based on a final pattern; determining overlapping shots that are shots that overlap each other based on the final pattern; generating area difference data by comparing the areas of the overlapping shots and the fractured shots with each other; calculating a radiation influenced pattern based on the area difference data; and correcting the overlapping shots based on the radiation influenced pattern.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to an artificial transcription factor which can artificially regulate gene expression of an E. coli, wherein the transcription factor comprising zinc finger proteins and transcription factors of prokaryote, and to be engineered E. coli using the same. Specifically, the artificial transcription factors comprising zinc finger domains and transcription factors in E. coli as effector domains are prepared and said artificial transcription library is introduced to E. coli to effectively and artificially regulate gene expression regardless of an activity of endogenous transcription factors in the E. coli and to induce E. coli having various desired phenotypes. Thus, only E. coli having the desired phenotypes useful for industries can be selected and used.
