Abstract: An injector includes an injector housing and a cartridge door movably mounted to the injector housing between a fully closed position and an open position. A latching mechanism is movable between a latched position, locking the cartridge door to the injector housing in the fully closed position thereof, and an unlatched position, unlocking the cartridge door from the injector housing, thereby enabling movement of the cartridge door toward the open position. The latching mechanism is oriented in the unlatched position when the cartridge door is empty and the latching mechanism is configured to move to the latched position solely when a cartridge is present in the cartridge door and the cartridge door is subsequently moved to the fully closed position thereof.

The system further may include an applicator for inserting the cannula into the user's skin and/or applying an adhesive pad to the skin.

Abstract: A method for treating an aneurysm in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present technology includes intravascularly delivering a mixture including a biopolymer (e.g., chitosan) and a chemical crosslinking agent (e.g., genipin) to an aneurysm. The method further includes mixing the biopolymer and the chemical crosslinking agent to initiate chemical crosslinking of the biopolymer. The mixture is delivered to the aneurysm via a lumen and an exit port of a catheter while the chemical crosslinking is ongoing. The mixture exits the catheter as a single cohesive strand that at least partially agglomerates to form a mass occupying at least 75% of a total internal volume of the aneurysm. During delivery of the mixture, the method includes expanding a tubular flow diverter to reinforce a neck of the aneurysm.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to methods and apparatus to control delivery of a sealant during an invasive procedure. Disclosed methods and apparatus control movement of a syringe to control injection of sealant stored therein. For example, disclosed methods and apparatus can displace the syringe body relative to the plunger as the syringe is withdrawn from the target site, rather than displacing the plunger relative to the syringe body, to thereby pressurize the sealant or inject the sealant in an amount proportional to a distance the syringe body is withdrawn. This reduces the variability in the amount of sealant delivered along the syringe withdrawal pathway. The disclosed methods and apparatus can increase precision in movement of a syringe, thereby increasing precision in sealant delivery.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides improved methods for calibrating the zero position of at least one drive member of an injector system is disclosed. Automated methods of position calibration of the drive member of a fluid injector are disclosed. These methods address sources of error in positional accuracy and fluid delivery inaccuracies, such as disposable syringe tolerance and injector wear over time. According to other embodiments of the present disclosure, methods and fluid injector systems for determining and correcting for the amount of slack in a fluid injection apparatus are described. An understanding of the calibration and the amount of slack in a fluid injection system allows a processor to correct for the slack, thereby ensuring more accurate fluid delivery to the patient and more accurate imaging processes.
