One example apparatus employable at a base station comprises a processor configured to schedule a fifth generation Physical Downlink Shared Channel (xPDSCH) during one or more xPDSCH symbols of a subframe n; schedule a final M symbols of the one or more xPDSCH symbols for fifth generation Channel State Information Reference Signals (xCSI-RS); and output one or more control messages to transmitter circuitry for transmission to one or more User Equipments (UEs), wherein the one or more control messages comprise a xCSI-RS configuration for the one or more UEs, wherein the xCSI-RS configuration indicates the value of M and the final M symbols scheduled for xCSI-RS.

摘要: A method in a first node for adapting a multi-antenna transmission to a second node over a wireless channel is provided. The wireless channel has at least three inputs and at least one output. The first node and the second node are comprised in a wireless communication system. The method includes obtaining at least one symbol stream, determining a precoding matrix having a product structure created by a block diagonal matrix being multiplied from the left with a block diagonalizing unitary matrix, precoding the at least one symbol stream with the determined precoding matrix, and transmitting the precoded at least one symbol stream over a wireless channel to the second node.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments include methods for control channel design in many-antenna multi-user (MU) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless systems. A beacon comprising an identifier of a many-antenna base station is encoded into a base sequence. A plurality of synchronization sequences is generated based on the encoded base sequence and a set of orthogonal beam sequences. The many-antenna base-station transmits, using a plurality of antennas, the plurality of synchronization sequences in a plurality of beam directions associated with the set of orthogonal beam sequences for synchronization and associated with users without knowledge of channel state information (CSI).

A plurality of reference signal configurations, each indicating resource elements for one or more antenna ports over which reference signals for the one or more antenna ports are scheduled for transmission, can be received. An association configuration indicating an association between at least two antenna ports as having similar channel characteristics can also be received. A plurality of reference signals can be received in the resource elements corresponding to the at least two antenna ports as indicated in the at least two of the plurality of reference signal configurations, which can be used to perform a channel measurement of the similar channel characteristics of channels of the at least two antenna ports over at least a portion of the plurality of reference signals.

摘要: A method for reporting an aperiodic channel condition in a wireless communication system, according to an embodiment of the present invention, is performed by a terminal. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, setting for one or more channel state information (CSI) processes including a plurality of channel state information-reference signals (CSI-RS) resources, wherein precoding is applied to each of the plurality of CSI-RS resources; receiving an aperiodic CSI report request from the base station; and transmitting, to the base station, an aperiodic CSI for a CSI process indicated by the aperiodic CSI report request, wherein, if a certain time has not elapsed after a CSI-RS resource index for the CSI process indicated by the aperiodic CSI report request is reported, the transmitted aperiodic CSI may include a CSI-RS resource index for a CSI process which has not been updated.

The network node device can send a reference signal having the precoding rank value of one, and receive feedback from the user equipment comprising an indicator of channel quality. Optionally, in response to the metric exceeding a threshold, the network node device can facilitate transmitting a message instructing the user equipment to respond to a reference signal by providing feedback comprising a first indicator of rank having a value of one, and a second indicator of channel quality.
