摘要: Audio advertisements for music services can be created and played to minimize any perceived discontinuity by a listener from a preceding song. Specifically, a voice-over content item (e.g., a spoken advertisement produced without music) may combined with a non-song musical content item (e.g., backing music specifically produced for advertisements) to create an audio advertisement to be played after a song on a streaming music service. The non-song musical content item may be selected based on its similarity to the preceding song (e.g., genre, tempo, or harmony) and/or a musical preference of a user (e.g., a preferred genre obtained through a user's music service account and/or selected by the user). The genre of both the preceding song and a musical preference of a user may be used to select a non-song musical content item genre by a weighting that determines the probability of the genre used for an advertisement.

摘要: For a signal waveform to be processed, the continuous wavelet transform is performed with various scale factors, and a wavelet coefficient at each point in time is calculated. On an image showing the strength of the wavelet coefficient with respect to the scale factor and time, ridge lines are detected, and based on these ridge lines, positive and negative peak candidates are extracted, after which an error in the position and width of the peak due to the influence of a neighboring peak is corrected. Subsequently, the degree of non-symmetry of the peak shape or other features are examined to remove false negative peaks due to negative peak artifacts. Subsequently, a true peak cluster, a false peak cluster resulting from the removal of high-frequency components of a high-frequency noise or other causes, and other kinds of peaks are identified, and the obtained result is used to remove false peaks.

摘要: Video sequence processing is described with various filtering rules applied to extract dominant features for content based video sequence identification. Active regions are determined in video frames of a video sequence. Video frames are selected in response to temporal statistical characteristics of the determined active regions. A two pass analysis is used to detect a set of initial interest points and interest regions in the selected video frames to reduce the effective area of images that are refined by complex filters that provide accurate region characterizations resistant to image distortion for identification of the video frames in the video sequence. Extracted features and descriptors are robust with respect to image scaling, aspect ratio change, rotation, camera viewpoint change, illumination and contrast change, video compression/decompression artifacts and noise. Compact, representative signatures are generated for video sequences to provide effective query video matching and retrieval in a large video database.

摘要: A method for extracting impact time in a golf swing includes acquiring at least one chronological waveform among chronological waveforms of an angular velocity about x-axis, an angular velocity about y-axis, and an angular velocity about z-axis obtained when a golf ball is hit by a golf club attached with a sensor that measures angular velocities about three axes, when the x-axis is orientated along a toe-heel direction of a golf club head, when the y-axis is orientated so as to follow along a direction in which a ball is hit, and when the z-axis is orientated to match an axial direction of a shaft; acquiring timing at which laser light, disposed immediately in front of where the golf club head impacts the ball, is shielded by the golf club head or the shaft; and determining an impact time using the at least one chronological waveform and the timing.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for biological signal recording, including modulating a sampled evoked biological signal with a carrier sequence code resulting in a modulated evoked biological signal. The carrier sequence code has an autocorrelation function. The method includes demodulating the modulated evoked biological signal by calculating a convolution of the modulated evoked biological signal with the carrier sequence code resulting in an evoked biological signal spectrum. The evoked biological signal spectrum has a peak to sideband ratio as a function of the carrier sequence code. The method includes calculating deviations between each element of the sampled evoked biological signal and the peak to sideband ratio and filtering noise artifacts from the sampled evoked biological signal based on the deviations. Peak to sideband ratios may also be optimized by varying the sampling rate.

摘要: Methods and apparatus provide Cheyne-Stokes respiration (“CSR”) detection based on a blood gas measurements such as oximetry. In some embodiments, a duration, such as a mean duration of contiguous periods of changing saturation or re-saturation occurring in an epoch taken from a processed oximetry signal, is determined. An occurrence of CSR may be detected from a comparison of the duration and a threshold derived to differentiate saturation changes due to CSR respiration and saturation changes due to obstructive sleep apnea. The threshold may be a discriminant function derived as a classifier by an automated training method. The discriminant function may be further implemented to characterize the epoch for CSR based on a frequency analysis of the oximetry data. Distance from the discriminant function may be utilized to generate probability values for the CSR detection.
