摘要: An electrical stimulation system includes a sheath that includes conductive points that are operative to facilitate electrical stimulation to a bodily portion of a user. Drive-sense circuits (DSCs) generate electrical stimulation signals based on reference signals and provide those electrical stimulation signals via electrodes to the conductive points of the sheath. The electrical stimulation signal is coupled into respective locations of the bodily portion of the user that are in proximity to or in contact with the conductive points of the sheath. In addition, the DSCs sense, via the conductive points of the sheath and via the electrodes, changes of the electrical stimulation signals based on coupling of them into the respective locations of the bodily portion of the user. The DSCs provide digital signals that are representative of the changes of the electrical stimulation signals to one or more processing modules that includes and/or is coupled to memory.

摘要: A medical device and method are provided and include a sensing circuitry configured to obtain cardiac activity (CA) signals indicative of cardiac activity over one or more beats. The medical device includes a filter configured to separate, from the CA signals, a respiratory component that varies based on at least one of respiration rate or respiration depth. The medical device includes memory that is configured to store program instructions. The medical device includes a processor that, when executing the program instructions, is configured to analyze the respiratory component to identify a respiration characteristic of interest (COI). The respiration COI is based on at least one of variations in an amplitude of the respiratory component or an interval within the respiratory component and identifies a respiration anomaly based on the respiration COI.

摘要: A medical device includes at least one electrode to sense an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal of a patient, and a controller coupled to the at least one electrode. The controller is configured to generate a first ECG template based on a first ECG signal of the patient received during a first baselining operation. The controller is configured to determine that the patient has been administered a therapeutic shock, and responsive to the determination that the patient has been administered the therapeutic shock, the controller is configured to initiate a second baselining operation and generate a second ECG template based on a second ECG signal of the patient received during the second baselining operation. The controller is configured to determine whether the patient is experiencing a cardiac event based on a comparison of the second ECG template to a real time ECG signal received during real time monitoring of the patient.

摘要: Computer implemented methods and systems are provided that comprise, under control of one or more processors of a medical device, where the one or more processors are configured with specific executable instructions. The methods and systems obtain motion data indicative of at least one of a posture or a respiration cycle; obtain cardiac activity (CA) signals for a series of beats; identify whether a characteristic of interest (COI) from at least a first segment of the CA signals exceeds a COI limit; analyze the motion data to determine whether at least one of the posture or respiration cycle at least in part caused the COI to exceed the COI limit. Based on the analyzing operation, the methods and systems automatically adjust a CA sensing parameter utilized by the medical device to detect R-waves in subsequent CA signals; and detect an arrhythmia based on a presence or absence of one or more of the R-waves in at least a second segment of the CA signals.

摘要: This invention concerns a data processing apparatus (12) for processing ST-segment slope information (ST1, ST2, STX) from an ECG signal from a myocardium of a heart of a human (1) or animal to generate data for one of—an assessment of a risk, a probability or a presence and—a diagnosis of a risk, a probability or a presence of a type of arrhythmia of the heart or a part of it, wherein the data processing apparatus (12) is configured to calculate at least two ST-segment slope values (STS1, STS2, STSX) wherein each of the at least two ST-segment slope values (STS1, STS2, STSX) belongs to ST-segments (ST) from different heart beats (HB1, HB2, HBX) of the same heart, and to derive a ST-segment slope deviation value (1DV, N1DV, S1DV, SN1DV) from at least two ST-segment slope values (STS1, STS2, STSX). The invention further concerns an assessment apparatus (14), and a method for providing data for an assessment and/or a diagnosis of a condition or a disease of at least a part of the myocardium.

摘要: In one example, a cardiac monitoring system comprises a processor to receive a segment of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal of a patient, and a memory to store the segment of the ECG. The processor is configured to identify QRS complexes in the segment of the ECG signal, generate a supraventricular (SV) template for SV complexes in the QRS complexes, identify SV complexes in the QRS complexes using the template, identify normal sinus rhythm (NSR) complexes in the segment of the ECG signal, obtain an atrial template for atrial waveforms in the NSR complexes, measure a range of a P-wave of the atrial waveforms from the NSR complexes, save the measured P-waves, and classify the identified SV complexes as either atrial fibrillation (AF) or supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) using the atrial template. Other examples and related methods are also disclosed herein.
